In eye-opening comments that emerged on a recent podcast episode, Vogue Williams recounted an exchange with someone who asked her a rude question about her face

Vogue Williams has shed light on a “bizarre” interaction she had with someone online who made an insulting comment about her appearance. Her revelations emerged during a recent instalment of the Vogue and Amber podcast (February 4), which she hosts alongside her sister, Amber Wilson.

In the episode, Vogue recounted an exchange in which someone asked her a rude question about her face and suggested it was a decision the person would come to regret.

In her account, she said: “I had a thing happen to me this week, and I usually don’t say anything, but this girl…Well, I didn’t know if it was a girl or boy. It was an artist who mailed me on Instagram, ‘I’m just wondering when you are going to get rid of that wart on your face’, as in my mole.”

Seemingly infuriated by the message and thinking “F*** you”, Vogue checked out the individual’s page but was unable to find them, so she opted to tag them in a post instead.

Vogue continued: “And I was like, ‘Anyone who pisses me off now, if you’re brave enough and bold enough to send a message to somebody like that, I’m going to put it out there’.

“And so I put it up on my page and I tagged the person and I said, ‘Oh, I’d love to see what this person looks like. They must be so perfect’. And then in comes everybody sending me pictures of her, all this kind of stuff.”

Vogue said she replied to the person, an artist, saying something along the lines of that she would remove the mole if they started “making decent art”.

But “loads of people” tracked them down and highlighted a YouTube appearance.

She said: “And I was just like, ‘God, like it’s just so bizarre that you’d go out of your way to just insult somebody’. Anyway, she started mailing me and she’s like, ‘Oh, I didn’t mean to insult you. I didn’t realise you’d be upset by that’.”

However, Vogue hit back, saying they “did it “specifically to insult” her, but the person apologised, claiming they “just wanted to know”, and mentioned that people had been messaging them “being horrible”, so Vogue took down the post.

Explaining her decision, Vogue said she didn’t want the individual being trolled “any more than she had”, but claimed that you have to teach a “little bit of a lesson”.

Bizarrely, though, this wasn’t the end of the saga, as Vogue claimed that the person then suggested that they would “get on” and invited Vogue to meet up for a coffee.

In a final development, Vogue claimed that they messaged a couple of days later to ask again why she wouldn’t get her mole removed, so Vogue opted to block who she described as an “oddball”.
