The firing incident outside Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence has now escalated into a serious investigation. On January 31, four gunshots were heard outside his building in the evening, prompting the police to rush to the spot and begin inquiries. Shortly after, a Facebook post surfaced claiming responsibility for the firing in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, a group already known for issuing threats to high-profile individuals. The post warned Rohit not to interfere in their matters, saying that when he “did not understand”, they showed him a “small trailer” and threatened that if he still “fails to understand”, the next shot would be fired “inside the bedroom”.

According to ANI reports, the Mumbai Crime Branch has now uncovered a fresh link in the case. Investigators revealed that a man named Asaram Fasle allegedly supplied the weapons used in the firing. Fasle, a former garage mechanic, has reportedly been associated with the Bishnoi gang for the past four years and was influenced by Shubham Lonkar, who is linked to the Baba Siddiqui murder case. The Crime Branch believes Fasle handed over the weapons to Swapnil Sakat on Shubham’s instructions, after which they reached an unidentified shooter suspected to be the one who opened fire outside Rohit’s building. Fasle has not been arrested yet.

On February 1, Mumbai Police detained five individuals in connection with the case – Aman Anand Marote, Aditya Gyaneshwar Gayaki, Siddharth Deepak Yenpure, Samarth Shivsharan Pomaji and Swapnil Bandu Sakat. Officials suspect they may have played a role in the firing incident. Meanwhile, the Bishnoi gang’s Facebook post, allegedly made by members Shubham Lonkar, Arju Bishnoi and Hari Boxer Hasan Sambhu, claimed the attack and stated they had warned Rohit earlier. Police are currently verifying the authenticity of these claims.

In light of these threats, Rohit Shetty’s security has been significantly tightened. With the shoot of Golmaal Five expected to begin around February 15, a two-tier security arrangement has been put in place. Reports suggest that over 60 security personnel will be deployed on the film set daily to safeguard the area. Rohit is also maintaining a low profile and has reportedly asked close friends like Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar to avoid visiting him for the time being.
