Gordon Ramsay was just 25 when he met his wife Tana, admitting that he thought she looked like Julia Roberts, with the pair having been together for almost three decades now

Gordon Ramsay said “time is limited” as his wife Tana made a blunt relationship with admission. The celebrity chef was 25 when he met his wife in the early 1990s.

Their relationship blossomed and the pair walked down the aisle in 1996. They are now parents to Megan, 27, twins Holly and Jack, 26, Tilly, 24, Oscar, six, and two-year-old Jesse.

Since meeting Tana, Gordon has appeared on a host of television shows, including Hell’s Kitchen and Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, and continues to operate five Michelin-starred restaurants. His Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, London, has had three Michelin stars for over 25 years.

The chef is now the focal point of the six-part Netflix series, Being Gordon Ramsay. The series will follow Gordon as he juggles family life, work, and the launch of his latest restaurant 22 Bishopgate.

Gordon has spoken openly about how he has relied on Tana through the ups and downs of his career. Speaking to Bella, he said: “I was 25 when we met and she was 18, we had that spark.

“We share a drive and we’re both hardworking. The time we have together is limited, but it’s special.”

He went on to explain that Tana is an “amazing support” and isn’t afraid to tell him if a project is a “great idea or a s**t one”. He admits his wife “doesn’t hold back” but says it is something he needs in life.

Tana meanwhile stressed the importance of “making time for each other” and believes that “fun is important”.

She added: “Every relationship goes through stages when you’ve been together this long, but it’s a real blessing to have met young and go through this amazing journey together.”

Gordon recalls thinking Tana looked like a young Julia Roberts when they first met. Although he fears she “wasn’t a fan” of his, and was even going out with one of his close friends.

He said: “Tana was driving the car and I was sat in the back seat looking at my mate going, ‘Oh my god your girlfriend is f****** gorgeous’. She looked like a young Julia Roberts and she brought this level of excitement like no other. I’m not sure what Tana said when she met me, I got the feeling she wasn’t a big fan.”

Speaking to The Mirror, Tana admitted: “I thought he was really arrogant, really full of himself. He used to really irritate me.”

However, a month or so later, the pair were both single and they decided to give things a go. Tana added: “It took about a month and then we were both single. We ended up chatting one night and chatted all night. I must have fancied him.”
