22 Kids and Counting star Sue Radford has shown off her incredible weight loss on social media and has shared the steps she took to achieve her new, toned figure

22 Kids and Counting star Sue Radford showed off her dramatic weight loss in a series of swimwear snaps as she made a vow to her future self.

The mum-of-22, who is known for having Britain’s largest family, looks almost unrecognisable after reaching the eight-stone bracket. She has even revealed that she has been mistaken for her daughter Sophie due to her new figure.

Taking to Instagram, Sue opened up about the work that went into achieving her weight loss goals and promised herself she would “not go back” to her old habits.

She said: “After watching the programme on Sunday night, I found myself looking back at old photos of myself. Sometimes you really do have to look back to see just how far you’ve come.

“I remember these pictures being taken and feeling so uncomfortable. I was the heaviest I’d ever been and hated looking in the mirror. That was my turning point – I realised I needed to completely change my lifestyle.

“We were eating at least a few takeaways a week and snacking constantly. Changing that, cutting out sugar and mindless snacks, hasn’t been easy but I’m so proud of how far I’ve come.

“I’m definitely not going back. I honestly love going to the gym now – that’s something I’d never thought I’d say.”

Alongside her message, Sue shared six photos documenting her transformation. They included mirror selfies, as well as holiday snaps on the beach and at Dubai Miracle Garden.

Fans were quick to praise her dedication and believes she looks both happy and healthy.

One user commented: “You were never what I’d consider ‘big’ but you look amazing! As someone who’s lost seven stone, I know the difference that makes to your confidence and it really shines through with you. Being happy should always be the priority, and it looks like that’s the case! Well done, Sue.”

Another added: “You look fab Sue. Caught up with the new series last night and you can really see your weight loss! Just fabulous, well done you. Could you link your gym gear in the first pic? It’s really flattering.”

A third wrote: “Well done – and exercise is the best for mental health too. But whatever you think of the photos, the only bad photo is the one you don’t take. All memories.”

In a separate post shared last month, Sue revealed the two exercises that helped her drop two stone without making drastic changes to her usual routine.

She said: “Did 30 minutes on the treadmill, burned off 207 calories. Did 15 minutes on the StairMaster today. I’m aiming for 20 minutes tomorrow.”

After her workout, she spent around 25 minutes having a hydromassage, which can help reduce stress, improve circulation and aid muscle recovery.

Sue is known for being the matriarch of Britain’s biggest family. She was just 14 years old when she welcomed her first child, Christopher, now aged 36.
