Nancy Guthrie’s abduction has become a wild topic in recent times, and with each passing day, the investigation is getting intensified. It was on February 1, 2026, when a missing report was filed, and the search mission began. Following this, two ransom notes were received, according to which USD 6 million in Bitcoin was demanded for Nancy’s safe return.

Amid this, the FBI released a photo of a masked-up individual, who was suspected to be the alleged kidnapper, and it was also reported that the person in the photo was detained. Well, amid this going on, the first activity of the Bitcoin account happened, as reported, which allegedly revealed the abductor’s location.

Nancy Guthrie’s abductor is from Tucson?

If a report by TMZ is to be believed, sources of Law Enforcement revealed that the abductor is actually from Tucson. As per the same report, the two ransom notes which were received carried clues about the abductor being from the same location. The first letter was sent to two Tucson stations and TMZ, followed by another one, which was sent to a Tucson station, which gave authorities the idea that the kidnapper was well aware of the area and was very much aware of the local station as well.

The notes promised that Nancy would be returned within 12 hours if the demanded payment was made. An amount of USD 6 million in Bitcoin was requested, which came with a deadline of February 9, 2026, after the first deadline of February 5, 2026, passed, where a demand of USD 4 million was made. The abductor seemingly remains within a 700-mile radius of Nancy’s home, and it is being assumed that the person might have his home in the same area.

A new note asks for Bitcoin for providing information on Nancy’s kidnapping

Earlier, another person was detained in connection with the first ransom note that was received. Following this, another note was released, and Savannah Guthrie shared videos and agreed to pay the amount, but only if the family was assured of Nancy’s safe being. However, hours after a new photo of the alleged kidnapper was released, a new ransom note was received, which was not from the abductor but someone else. As per TMZ, the new note demanded USD 1 million in Bitcoin in exchange for providing information on Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping. The note could be read as:

“If they want the name of the individual involved, then I want 1 Bitcoin to the following wallet. Time is more than relevant.”

As per the new sender, he/she tried to contact Savannah, Annie and Camron, but remained unsuccessful. The new note has a different address than the previous two notes, and the legitimacy of these notes couldn’t be verified just yet. The notes were sent to the Law Enforcement, and further investigation will take place on this. Earlier, the FBI announced a reward of USD 50K if someone could come forward and help if they had tips. Savannah, too, in her videos, pleaded with people to come forward with help if they have any kind of tips, adding that they are in an hour of desperation and need help.
