Team GB ice dancer Phebe Bekker has been using this cult-favourite luxury room spray to make her Olympic Village room feel more personal

With the Winter Olympics firmly back on our screens, we’re getting a lot of TikTok and Instagram content from athletes sharing their insight into all things Olympics.

And British ice dancer Phebe Bekker has revealed the one creature comfort that is helping her feel more at home in her room in the Village amid the buzz of the competition.

Her choice? A luxury room fragrance, Diptyque’s Fleur D’Oranger Room Spray, to be exact. Priced at £60, this cult favourite fragrance is one of the brand’s best-selling scents.

Claiming the smell as one of her favourites, Phebe has been using this spray to transform the smell of her room and mask the unfamiliar space with something a bit more personal.

The Figuier scent itself is inspired by Mediterranean scenes and blends soft citrus with delicate florals to create a fresh, sweet, and light smell that feels so luxurious.

And Phebe isn’t the only fan of this popular spray. Over on Space NK, shoppers have left glowing reviews. One commented, “I’ve found the perfect scent for my home! Sometimes when I go into someone’s home I think wow it smells amazing in here and I wanted to create the same thing for my own house. This does just that.”

A second added, “This is by far my favourite home fragrance scent in the Diptyque range. I’ve been on the search for a 5 star hotel lobby subtle scent in Asia. Whilst this does not smell exactly like what I have been looking for, it comes close. It is a bright citrusy scent without being overpowering – the citrus is quite light. Smells sophisticated.

However, a few others criticised the spray for being “not the longest lasting of smells”.

A similar and more affordable room spray can be purchased at Arran Sense of Scotland. The Just Grapefruit 100m Room Spray has been praised by shoppers for being a citrus-y alternative. As well as The White Company’s Clementine & Juniper Home Spray for a slightly spicier take.
