Lorna Luxe has announced the death of her husband, John Andrews, following his devastating terminal cancer diagnosis. John had been battling stage four adrenal cancer, after the disease returned in 2024.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Lorna said: “My beautiful, brave John died yesterday. I am heartbroken. We were together to the very end, at home, in our own bed and holding hands which is exactly what he wanted.

She went on to add: “The last conversation we had I asked him how he was feeling and he replied ‘rough but in love’ and that was so him, to the point and choosing to put aside his fears to make me feel cherished and loved.

“John and I were so grateful to the district nurses who came daily to support us and make him comfortable. Anna was his favourite nurse and the kindness she showed him was beyond, she was a real life angel. We couldn’t have had those last few days together at home without that care and my mum who has been with us keeping me strong when I needed to stay strong for John. John you are a class act and I will love you forever.”

The influencer previously revealed that treatment was no longer an option after the stage four adrenal cancer, which John had been diagnosed with in April 2023, had spread. After undergoing treatment, the former banker entered remission – but the cancer returned in 2024 and had spread to the brain. John went on to undergo surgery and “defied the odds” – with the couple declaring they were holding on to hope as he continued to battle the disease.

In a candid social media post, she explained that both she and John have been encouraged by the outpouring of love they have received from friends and strangers alike. But in a heartbreaking admission, Lorna admitted
she does not know how much time she has left with her husband.

But on February 7, Lorna issued a statement declaring she did not know how much time she had left with her husband. She had been keeping fans updated on her family life following the tragic news.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Saturday, February 7, the influencer shared an image of a bed alongside a heartbreaking update. She wrote: “I want you to know how grateful me and John are for all the kind messages, I’ve not been on top of my replies but I see and read your words to him daily and they’re so full of love – it’s just what we need right now.”

She added: “We don’t know how long we have but we’re holding each other tight.” The update comes after Lorna earlier revealed she had been forced to pull out of a charity event as John took a turn. She revealed online: “It is with a very heavy heart that I have to share that we must unfortunately postpone our upcoming Charity Sale at The Alan Hotel in Manchester this Saturday, 7th February.”

She went on to add: “John is currently extremely unwell, and right now it isn’t the right time for me to be away from his side. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but I know it’s the right thing to do. I am so sorry for any disappointment caused. New event details will be shared as soon as possible, and all current tickets will remain valid for the new date. All ticket sales will still be donated to Maggie’s Cancer Care and The Meath Epilepsy Charity.

“If you can no longer attend and would like a refund, please email customercare@laspace.co.uk and our team will help you as quickly as possible. Our community has truly kept us going. I am so incredibly grateful for your kindness and support while I navigate this difficult time. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”

Lorna opened up about the declining health of her husband – noting how he had faced serious health issues after they enjoyed a trip to Italy in November. She revealed: “He was hit with sepsis over Christmas . He’s back home with me now but we’ve been told his cancer has progressed to other organs. So, treatment’s no longer an option.”

Despite the devastating news, Lorna explained that she and her husband were remaining positive despite the sobering health battles. She explained: “One thing about John, in the 16 years we’ve been married, his mindset’s never wavered.

“Like a lot of things, I take that for granted. But I think he’s possibly the bravest person I know… at this point we’re looking for a bit of a miracle. And we’re gonna take each day as it comes… We can’t lose hope.

“And if there’s one thing I know about me and John to be true, we haven’t come this far, just to come this far.” It was revealed that John had first been diagnosed with adrenal cancer – a rare tumour that can form at the top of one or both of the kidneys.
