Jesy Nelson’s former partner Zion Foster has shared a heart-breaking truth he couldn’t reveal to the popstar, while she was pregnancy with twins Ocean Jade and Story Monroe
Jesy Nelson’s ex-fiancé Zion Foster has shared a difficult truth he couldn’t tell the pop star during her recent pregnancy.
The former couple welcomed their twin daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe in May 2025, after Jesy had endured pregnancy complications – including twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS).
In the final stretch before giving birth, the 34-year-old singer was being monitored in hospital with Zion by her side. However, Zion left her alone one afternoon to visit his mother.
Speaking to his mum Maria in Jesy’s new documentary, the Londoner opened up about his real feelings surrounding his then-partner’s pregnancy.
“It’s stressful,” he admitted. Zion went on to explain that he had been putting on a strong front to keep Jesy calm but the pressure was also getting to him.
He explained: “My role with Jess is to always be strong. But I feel the pressure, I feel the tension.
“When I’m not with you [his mum] I would never feel like this, I would never tell Jess I feel stressed because of how that would make her feel.”
Mum Maria jumped in to offer encouraging advice, saying: “Just take it easy, remain positive like I’ve always said to you and Jesy. You must remain positive and just have the faith that everything is okay.”
And it seems Zion’s efforts to keep Jesy at ease were successful because the ex Little Mix singer gushes about him throughout the docuseries.
“The reason I’m surviving this is because I’m with Zion, who is my home. I don’t really know how to explain it other than I just feel safe,” she says in one heart-warming segment.
Similar to Jesy, Zion was raised in a single parent household and the duo are determined to give their little girls a solid family unit.

Earlier this month, Jesy announced her and Zion had split up after a four-year relationship. The couple first met through friends in 2022 and got engaged in September 2025.
It came after their twin daughters had been diagnosed with SMA Type 1, a rare condition which causes muscle wastage. The strain of their babies’ health battle is ultimately what led the couple to part ways.
But the duo appear completely smitten in Jesy’s documentary, Life After Little Mix, which was filmed over the last year.
Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix is available to stream exclusively on Prime Video.
