Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre has revealed he ‘so worried’ when he entered his fifties but quickly learned why he had nothing to be nervous about just days after hitting the milestone

Peter Andre has revealed why he was “so worried” when he entered his fifties. The Mysterious Girl singer hit the milestone just under three years ago, and after noticing that Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry, 59, admitted she had learned to care less about certain things with age, explained he felt a similar sort of way.

Writing in his new! magazine column, he said: “It was good to see Halle Berry saying that she’s got to a place in her life where she has “zero f***s” to give now because she’s already been through so much.

“When I was about to turn 50, I was so worried.” The former I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star is now married to Emily MacDonagh and has Millie, 12, Theo, nine, as well as 21-month-old Belle with her.

Explaining how things changed as soon as he turned 50, he added, “I thought it meant I was getting old, but the day after my birthday, I breathed a sigh of relief. I said to Emily that I felt like I could start caring more about the things I should care about, and less about the things I don’t need to. That does come with maturity, I guess. I always care what my family think, That’s the most important thing to me. “

Peter, who also has Junior, 20, and 18-year-old Princess with ex-wife Katie Price, recently shared an update on his mum just before her 90th birthday. Thea, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s in 2023, and can now no longer speak.

Now, the Rock U Right singer, who is currently on tour across the UK with The Very Best of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, has revealed his plans to get back to his parents in Australia as soon as possible.

He added: “I’m going back to Australia at some point. I really miss my mum and dad so much, as well as my sister, who also lives in Australia, and my nephew. But for me it’s mainly mum at this stage.

“As soon as the Frankie Valli tour is finished, I will be on the plane to go and see them. I speak to my dad once a day, but I speak to mum twice a day because she is now unable to speak, so, I like to reiterate what I’m trying to say.

“I want her to hear me say that I love her more than once a day. I can have a long conversation with my dad, but with mum, I guess, it’s sadly different. I love it, it’s everything to me.”

The star has been open and honest about his mum’s condition recently, and previously explained it was all in the hope that it would help other families going through similar.

He said: “I recently gave an update about my mum no longer being able to speak, and although it can be really hard to talk about, I’m in the hope that it can be of help to others going through similar things. Mum has a combination of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.

“I FaceTime my mum, twice a day. Belle speaks to her once a day, but the sad thing for me is, mum doesn’t respond. Belle just babbles to her, she can’t really speak yet.
