Lorna Luxe posted a tearjerking Instagram upload to mark her first Valentine’s Day since her husband John Andrews’ death earlier in the week after his adrenal cancer diagnosis
Lorna Luxe shared an emotional tribute to husband John days after his death at 64. The influencer, 43, said “today is the hardest” in a devastating Valentine’s Day post after John died following his adrenal cancer diagnosis in 2024.
As other couples shared plans for the most romantic day of the year on Saturday, Lorna revealed her heartbreak in a moving Instagram post. She uploaded an image of the pair sharing a kiss as she said: “To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides and I think I got to experience that.”
She told her followers she will be taking a step back from social media for a short while. However, she insisted she will still be reading messages of support and told her followers that every comment is very much appreciated.

In the build-up to Valentine’s Day she also revealed that a package addressed to John had made her laugh. Inside the package was a trio of cards from her late husband, which he had prepared in the days leading up to his death.
One card saw a cartoon man who was sitting on a toilet. The caption read: “Happy Valentine’s. This was me picking this card.”
In another, John’s face had morphed onto Cupid’s body and the caption on the card read: “Be mine, Valentine.” Meanwhile, in a third, it was Lorna’s turn for a morphing. She had switched to be on the Mona Lisa with the caption saying: “You’re a work of art.”
She shared her thoughts on the sweet cards, saying: “I’ve been opening mail and this big envelope addressed to John arrived a couple of weeks ago, so I opened it. Legendary behaviour here John, it was the chuckle I needed.”
The sad updates come just days after she shared the news of her husband’ death. In a sad Instagram update, Lorna said: “My beautiful, brave John died yesterday. I am heartbroken. We were together to the very end, at home, in our own bed and holding hands which is exactly what he wanted.
“The last conversation we had I asked him how he was feeling and he replied ‘rough but in love’ and that was so him, to the point and choosing to put aside his fears to make me feel cherished and loved.
“John and I were so grateful to the district nurses who came daily to support us and make him comfortable. Anna was his favourite nurse and the kindness she showed him was beyond, she was a real life angel.”
Lorna added: “We couldn’t have had those last few days together at home without that care and my mum who has been with us keeping me strong when I needed to stay strong for John. John you are a class act and I will love you forever.”
