According to the latest reports, The Night Agent Season 3 is all set to premiere on February 19, 2026, on the OTT giant, Netflix. Amid the buzz surrounding Season 3, fans of the franchise have grown curious to know whether the makers are planning for The Night Agent Season 4.

Will there be The Night Agent Season 4? Here’s what we know

Fans of The Night Agent rejoice as Season 4 is likely happening. According to a report by Deadline, The Night Agent has received tax incentives in California, which suggests that the production is still on. While Netflix has not yet officially announced The Night Agent Season 4, the same report stated that Season 4 will likely move its setting to Los Angeles. The earlier seasons of the action thriller series were filmed in Vancouver and New York. According to a report by Merco 2.0, if the production of The Night Agent Season 4 starts in 2026, then the series could arrive on the streaming platform sometime in 2027.

What to expect in The Night Agent Season 3?

‘Peter Sutherland’ (played by Gabriel Basso) is the heart of the series. In Season 3, ‘Peter’ is on an important and secret mission to track down a young U.S. Treasury official. The official has run away to Istanbul with some sensitive government documents. ‘Peter’ is in charge of locating the missing official and recovering the sensitive files. Meanwhile, the official survived an attack, which was planned by his own boss.

However, as ‘Peter’ goes deeper into the case, he discovers that a hidden and illegal money network is operating secretly at higher levels. Soon, the situation around ‘Peter’ turns into an international crisis. He travels across the globe, including Istanbul, Mexico City, New York, and Washington, D.C. During this secret mission, past conflicts return and ‘Peter’ is being chased by powerful and influential men who want to stop him from exposing the truth.

Luciane Buchanan is not returning in The Night Agent Season 3

Luciane Buchanan played one of the main characters in The Night Agent, Season 1 and Season 2. For the uninitiated, Luciane played the role of ‘Rose Larkin’. She has won hearts with her role. Speaking to Deadline, Luciane confirmed that she is not returning for The Night Agent Season 3. She was quoted as saying:

“I won’t be returning to Season 3 of The Night Agent. As much as that show has been so amazing, especially for my career — being a lead on a U.S. show from little New Zealand was such a whirlwind. The writers decided that they wanted to follow Peter and his journey based on what happened at the end of Season 2. And so, we don’t get to see what happens to Rose, but I think it’s a really exciting time for the show, and who knows, it’s not a goodbye forever.”

In the same interview, Luciane shared how the makers, including The Night Agent creator, executive producer and showrunner, Shawn Ryan and his producing partner at MiddKid Productions, fellow ‘Night Agent’, EP Marney Hochman, called her to explain why they are unable to onboard her in Season 3. She mentioned that the makers wanted to bring her in, but as Season 3 focuses entirely on the character, ‘Peter’, they couldn’t. She was quoted as saying:

“They called me not so long after Season 2, and they were like, we’ve been trying to find a way to bring her in, but we want to do her character justice and not make her a sub-character. I totally respected that decision and agreed. I was like, if it makes sense for a story, I’ll do that. If it doesn’t, let’s not force that.”
