Another huge name has been announced as a performer for this year’s BRIT Awards. With just days to go, it can now be revealed that global hitmaker Alex Warren will be taking to the stage at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena.

For the first time in the awards’ history, things have been shaken up, and they’re leaving London ahead of the ceremony. Alex will be joining a string of huge names performing on the night to a sold-out audience at Co-op Live.

Speaking about joining the line-up, Alex said: “The UK is where Ordinary first broke and changed my life last year. I am so grateful for all the love from my fans there, and I can’t wait to bring a big performance to the BRITs stage for the very first time.” Each year, members of the public can purchase tickets to sit in the tiered parts of the arena, while the biggest names in music and entertainment wine and dine on the arena floor, giving them direct access to the stage, should they win an award. When are the BRITs and where is Co-op Live?

Typically, the BRITs take place towards the end of February or early March. This year, the awards will be taking place on Saturday, February 28. This year, in a major shake-up, the awards will be heading to Manchester, famed for its deep heritage of music, with the likes of Oasis, Take That, The Stone Roses, Courteeners, Sarah Harding, Happy Mondays and Joy Division all hailing from the northern city.

Who’s hosting the awards?

Whether you’re watching at home or live at the Co-op Live, you’re in for a treat. Top comedian and actor Jack Whitehall is back on hosting duties. And it’s fair to say that Jack has an impressive run of making people laugh throughout the night, whether it be talking about JADE selling sex toys while sitting next to her mother, confusing Harry Styles‘ sister for his date and making Liam Payne and Cheryl Tweedy laugh, waving goodnight to the “little man”, who turned out to be Niall Horan.

Will Oasis be there?

In homage to Oasis dominating the music industry last year, Noel Gallagher will this year be receiving the Songwriter of the Year Award. He confirmed he will be in attendance and walking the red carpet on the night.

Meanwhile, his younger brother, Liam, had previously hinted that he would join him, wearing matching suits. However, it is not yet confirmed if Liam will be in attendance.
