His grandfather, in the recent past, confirmed that Aditi was Ishan’s girlfriend, and he was fine with them marrying. Now, it seems, Ishan’s mother, Suchitra, has shut down all the wedding rumours.

Now, his grandfather, Anurag Pandey, had hinted at his wedding with Jaipur-based model, Aditi Hundia. Now, Ishan’s mom, Suchitra Devi, sat down for an interview with IANS and clarified that his main focus was on cricket and not marriage. She said that his grandfather is old and they are always excited about relationships. In her words:

“Shaadi nahi abhi khel ka samay hai. Ishan ki umar hi kya hui hai ki shadi ki baat kare. Shadi ki koi baat nahi hai. Dadaji thoda old hoh gaye hai. Budhe logo ko thoda excitement rehta hi hai. Social media pe aate rehta hai, unko rehta hai excitement lekin aise koi baat nai hai.”

Ishan’s mom, Suchitra, clarified that his grandfather may have said things about his marriage based on what he saw on social media. Suchitra ensured that she put to rest chatter about her son, Ishan’s marriage and emphasised that her son is not that old to get married. She did emphasise that his grandfather may have got carried away by what he saw on social media, and the facts related to it have not been verified. Ishan’s grandfather had said that he was fine with Ishan doing a love marriage and did not care about what the villagers thought.

Suchitra firmly said that Ishan is in a stage of his career where his focus is just on playing good matches for Team India. She emphasised that her son must focus on his performances and responsibilities as a cricketer. Suchitra also said that when Ishan calls her, they do not discuss cricket matches, as he knows what is best on the field. She does not want any form of focus on his personal life as she wants her son to be known for his contributions in cricket.

The buzz began when Ishan Kishan’s grandfather, Anurag Pandey, in an interview with ANI from his village in Aurangabad, said he is fine with Ishan marrying anyone he wants. Anurag said he accepts the cricketer’s decision and confirmed that Aditi is his girlfriend. She is a model, and Anurag thinks it is important to accept things that make their kids happy. Anurag’s remarks hinted at wedding rumours of Ishan and Aditi as he shared:

“Ishan ne kaha tha ek baar jab woh Mumbai mei tha ki aapka interview woh dekhi hai. Bahut prashansa kar rahi thi. Kya kahe uske baare mei. Usko joh mann hoga wahi karega. Jissei kare hum accept karne ke liye taiyar hai. Uske bade bhai ka accept kia eske bhi kar lenge. Aditi uski girlfriend hai. Jaipur mei rehti hai. Model hai Miss India contest mei dusre number pe aayi thi. Hamari prashansa kar rahi thi. Keh rahi thi aapke dada abhi bhi sundar lagte hai. Chamakta hai unka chehra.
