Need to know: Tana Ramsay Breaks Silence on Family Feud Over Holly’s Wedding Drama
- Tana Ramsay has broken her silence on the bitter family feud surrounding her daughter Holly’s wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.
- Speaking to Grazia magazine, Gordon Ramsay’s wife revealed she had praised Adam to his mother Caroline before the dramatic fallout. “I remember saying to Adam’s mum when I met her, ‘My God, you’ve got the most amazing son. I couldn’t think of anyone that is more perfect for Holly,'” Tana said.
- The celebrity chef’s wife described Holly as “incredibly emotional, incredibly vulnerable in areas” but also “funny, brilliant and witty” – saying Adam was perfect for keeping her “in line”. She told Caroline that “in my mind he’s perfect for our daughter.”
- The family rift reached breaking point when Adam’s mother Caroline boycotted the couple’s wedding at Bath Abbey on December 27th last year. The fallout reportedly began when wider family members weren’t invited to the lavish engagement party in 2024.
- Caroline was also allegedly excluded from Holly’s hen do at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds, sparking further tensions. Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said: “I don’t think they understand how much they have hurt me; it’s as if they have cut my heart out.”
- Gordon Ramsay has since hit back at claims he’s a “bully”, telling The Sun: “I am certainly not a bully, and it is so appalling to even suggest there was any bullying.” He defended Adam as “an incredible young lad” and said the couple are “wonderful” and “happy”.
- Adam has now changed his surname to Ramsay-Peaty and is reportedly not on speaking terms with his family.
