Gogglebox star, Raza Siddiqui, was recently rushed to hospital after a horror fall. The fan favourite cracked his ribs in the accident. However, thankfully, Raza is “recovering nicely”, according to his family, who shared a snap of the star from the ward and at home resting.

They confirmed that Raza had not been able to film the first part of Gogglebox after his accident, sharing: “For you eagle eyed Goggleboxers, you may have noticed that Raza (@razathefaint) hasn’t joined us on the sofa so far this season.

“Sadly he had a bit of a fall, a few weeks back and cracked some ribs. He’s recovering nicely and will be joining us on the sofa in a few weeks time.

Thankfully, he is ‘recovering nicely’

“He’s absolutely smashing his recovery, staying positive and keeping himself entertained with walks, telly, reading and nephew cuddles with Theodore.’

They continued: “I know you guys reaching out and sending your well wishes will put a bigger smile on his face than morphine ever could. Can’t wait for all four Siddiquis to be back on team @c4gogglebox with the rest of the fab families.”

Raza has been a regular on the show since it first started in 2013. He often appeared alongside his family as they offered their thoughts on the latest shows.

However, he was nowhere to be seen in the latest series, leaving fans wondering where he was while dad Sid and brothers Umar and Bassit continued to entertain.

After the family explained his absence, their post was met with an influx of positivity and messages of well wishes. One wrote: “Bless you get well soon, we look forward to having you back on our screens when you are well enough.”

Another wished him a “speedy recovery”. Meanwhile, a third said: “Oh no! Get well soon!”

Over the years, the Siddiquis have had fans in stitches thanks to their hilarious one-liners and comical takes on the telly highlights.

In December, they shared some highlights if their time together as one fans responded: “Beautiful memories for a beautiful family.”
