Gordon Ramsay has shared an insight into his daughter Holly’s wedding day to Olympian Adam Peaty and revealed the whopping bill he received for the flowers for the ceremony
Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty’s wedding day may have been overshadowed by the Olympian’s family fallout, but the bride’s chef dad left no stone unturned to make her day memorable. The lavish ceremony held at Bath Abbey was the talk of the industry in December, and Gordon did his best to create his daughter’s perfect day.
And that included a whopping floral display. Gordon, 59, has now revealed the huge bill he received for the display – a massive £65,000. He has now revealed he is paying it back in monthly instalments as his money is tied up in his new restaurant venture.
He confessed the price tag for the flowers had him choked as he joked: “I’ll be honest, half the tears were the size of the flower bill.” When asked about his feelings on his daughter’s special day, he joked that he was crying his eyes out after being footed with the flower bill.

He then revealed during his appearance on Heart Breakfast with Jason King and Kelly Brook that he actually asked to pay off the flowers in monthly amounts so he could focus on his skyscraper restaurant project.
Kelly told their guest she was well aware of the cost of flowers for weddings. Gordon then joked: “Only Holly would decorate the entire Bath cathedral with flowers. One of the most historic buildings. Anyone else on the planet, no.”
Jason then admitted she “took her moment” before joking: “Dad, you’re paying for this. His comment got Gordon laughing, who went on: “I swear to god, the aisle was 65 meters long.

“Every time I walked past a pew I was walking up and down going “7 grand”, “another 7 grand”, 65 grand of flowers! I haven’t seen the bill yet because I’ve asked if I could do payments on a monthly basis, because I’m still paying for [22] Bishopsgate.”
Jason joked: “So that’s 20 million and 65 thousand so far.” But while Gordon was enjoying the sarcastic comments he turned it more serious as he went on: “All jokes apart, it was an amazing day.” And he gushed that the speech was his favourite part of the day.
The comments come as members of Adam’s family hit out at Netflix’s latest documentary featuring Gordon. The series follows the chef, but appears to have cut Adam’s mum and cousin from a scene.
Caroline and Krystal reportedly shared a number of touching speeches at the event, but these were not showcased by the streaming giants. And both of them shared their frustration on social media.
Krystal uploaded an image of her watching the engagement party scene on TV. She captioned her post: “I was here in person, guess I didn’t make it on Netflix for my minute of fame.”
She sarcastically went on: “How will I sleep at night?” And Adam’s mum Caroline responded in the comments, saying: “Did they film my speech Krystal? I bet they didn’t because it was 100% full of love and positivity x.”
Krystal replied: “I haven’t watched it all to be honest but no I haven’t see you and you look blurred out xx.”
