Kylie Jenner had a bit if an awkward BAFTAs experience. The reality star was front and centre alongside her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet, who had been nominated for Best Actor for Marty Supreme.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is a regular staple at awards show, where she appears alongside her boyfriend. She has been front and centre cheering him on on regular occasions including last night’s ceremony.
Unfortunately, it was a tough night for Timothée, who lost in his category, with the win instead going to an emotional Robert Aramayo, who won for his portrayal of John Davidson in I Swear.
Skipping red carpet
Whilst Kylie Jenner regularly supports her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet at awards events including the BAFTAs and Oscars, she doesn’t usually walk the red carpet alongside him.
It is believed Kylie often skips red carpets to avoid stealing her partner’s spotlight on what is always a big night for him, and also to keep their relationship private. She usually enters from alternative, quieter, or back entrances to avoid being seen until she is at the ceremony, where she will always lovingly sit alongside him.

Last year, a source claimed that they had an “agreement” to keep their personal and professional lives separate.
“It’s obvious they have an agreement not to make their relationship front and centre, they clearly want to maintain their own identities. They make a concerted effort to stay out of each other’s limelight, that’s the new way of doing things for these Gen-Z A-list couples in Hollywood,” the source said.
“They don’t want to have to offer up every detail of their private life in exchange for publicity. They’ve seen the perils of that and how damaging it can be to a public-facing relationship.”
That doesn’t stop Timothée referencing his partner in his speech. He has said previously: “Lastly, I’ll just say, thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Awkward joke
However, things did turn awkward during the ceremony when Alan Cumming made a joke. During the show, the reality TV star did not look impressed with the host’s X-rated gag.
As he handed out snacks, he stopped by the seats that Kylie and her boyfriend Timothee Chalamet were sitting in, and he asked the star: “Kylie, have you ever had your gums around a giant Jammie Dodger?”
Kylie shook her head and took the snack, looking visibly uncomfortable as she did so. She did not appear to be impressed by the double entendre, which earned only a few laughs from audience members.
Though no more jokes were made about Kylie, the night did not improve for her boyfriend, as Timothee lost out on the Best Actor award. He had been nominated for his role as the titular character in Marty Supreme, but the award ended up going to Robert Aramayo, who won for his role as John Davidson in I Swear.
