The experience, aptly named Majlis of Memories, is set within the restaurant’s naturally serene garden, where whimsical styling and the soft, lingering notes of bakhoor will set the stage for a truly immersive evening. The concept is a beautiful one: fragrance is not merely an accent but the very foundation of the gathering. At the heart of the garden, a bespoke Arcadia scent bar invites guests to bottle a personal memory, creating a custom 15ml perfume that translates their most cherished moments into a wearable composition of warm spices, delicate florals, or resinous woods. This olfactory journey is further enriched by a living archive of shared stories, where guests are invited to contribute their own Ramadan memory or a scent that holds deep personal meaning, displayed along the garden path for others to discover.
The sensory narrative extends seamlessly to the table, where the Iftar menu has been thoughtfully crafted to echo the notes found in the garden. It is a culinary exploration of Anatolian-Levantine traditions, where flavour becomes another layer of storytelling. The meal begins with a traditional platter of honey, kaymak with dates, and dried fruits, a prelude to the comforting Turkish lentil soup and a rotating seasonal alternative. The mezze selection is a vibrant journey through the region’s rich pantry, offering the piquant heat of Urfa Ezme, the cooling freshness of Yaz Cacığı, and the unexpected sweetness of sour cherry-infused stuffed vine leaves. Mains then take a deeper dive into Ottoman and coastal Mediterranean heritage, with succulent Adana kebabs, marinated chicken sis tavuk, and tender beef medallions arriving alongside classic Turkish rice.
As the evening unfolds, the sweet conclusion is just as considered. A dessert spread of pistachio baklava, the delicate, rose-scented Güllaç, and the ever-indulgent Kunafa sit alongside Umm Ali and seasonal fruits, providing a final, celebratory note to the meal.
