“An Astrologer’s Day” audiobook brings world literary classics to Persian listeners

TEHRAN- The audiobook “An Astrologer’s Day”, a collection of short stories by renowned writers from around the world, has been released for Persian listeners. 

The audiobook is a compilation of stories by prominent international authors, and narrated by Bahman Vakhshour, Mozhgan Soltan Panahi, Mozhgan Feli, Maryam Mohammadkhani, and Simin-Dokht Asadollahi. 

The production has been crafted at Avaye Chirok, a major Iranian institute that produces audiobooks.

Translated by Hossein Bidarmaghz, the Persian print edition of “An Astrologer’s Day” has been published by Qesseh Baran Publications in Tehran.

The collection features works by celebrated literary figures such as Mark Twain, Anton Chekhov, and George Orwell, alongside stories by globally acclaimed yet lesser-known writers including Émile Gaboriau and R.K. Narayan, among others.

The collection includes stories titled “The Cursed House”, “An Astrologer’s Day”, “Candy for the Angels”, “The Sniper”, “The Story of a Good Boy”, “The Tax Collector”, “The Man Who Stayed at the Hotel Gatsby”, “Execution”, “The Bet”, “The Circus”, “The Village Cobbler”, “The Blue Jasmine Bush”, “The Fatal Blow”, “Waiting”, “The Water Well”, and “Thank You, Ma’am”.

With a duration of approximately four hours and 43 minutes, the production of “An Astrologer’s Day” was overseen by Bahman Vakhshour, with editing by Hasti Sadeqi.
