Beverley Callard has issued a fresh health update and says her husband Jon is currently ‘force-feeding’ her as she opens up on one big fear post op
Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard has shared another devastating update amid her gruelling breast cancer battle, telling followers on her fourth day post-op that she is struggling to eat. The 68-year-old – who revealed on February 19 that she was going in for a ‘big operation’ the following day to have lymph nodes removed as a precautionary measure to make sure the cancer hadn’t spread, has been keeping her followers updated on her recovery since the surgery.
And on Tuesday, she admitted that she was struggling and hadn’t posted the day before as she was ‘completely knackered’ and could ‘do nothing’, adding that she was napping on and off all day and, ‘couldn’t even comb her hair.” In the video, the beloved actress explained that her fourth husband Jon, who she married in 2010, has been “force feeding her” as she had “no appetite whatsoever – but I’m trying”.
She continued: “Im not in pain, I’m really sore under my arm and I still have dressings on. I don’t know what I look like and I’m scared of that – I keep thinking, maybe this is too much information, but will John and I still be swinging from the chandeliers? Will l still be attractive or not? All that’s going through my head.”
She then added more optimistically, “I’ve got a hospital appointment at 11am tomorrow so I’ll find out if I need a second operation or not. But I’m doing OK. I’m doing OK.”
