Adam Peaty’s aunt has launched a scathing attack on the swimmer as he calls Gordon Ramsay ‘dad’ – calling it a ‘slap in the face’ to his biological father
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay recently revealed his new son-in-law Adam Peaty now calls him ‘dad’ – and it has not gone down well with the Olympian’s aunt. Amid the ongoing family feud which saw his own parents uninvited to his winter wedding to influencer Holly Ramsay in Bath, Adam Peaty’s furious aunt has hit out saying, ‘How could you?’ after it emerged that he calls Holly’s famous father ‘dad’.
The Olympic gold medallist – who is not believed to be on speaking terms with his parents – has spoken often in the past about his close bond with his in-laws. But recent comments from dad-in-law Gordon seemed to tip his aunt Louise Williams over the edge. Admitting she was fighting back tears as she wrote, she ranted angrily online in a lengthy post on social media app Threads: “Oh Adam your poor dad. How could you?

“That man literally worked his hands bloody in order that you could pursue your dream… He worked long long days as a brickie – a hard laborious back breaking job. He did it without moan or complaint.”
She added that the latest revelation amid the devastating family rift was nothing but a “slap in the face”, adding: “You credit Mr Ramsay as your dad. You credit Mel [swimming coach Mel Marshall] for shaping you into the man you are today. What about your mum and dad? You are a complete and utter tool.”
Louise also had harsh words from the Ramsays, and made reference to Gordon’s new Netflix documentary, which included Holly and Adam’s engagement party as well as other important milestones.
She wrote: “The Ramsays, Adam and Holly know they have done wrong which is why they are love bombing on tv, online and in the newspapers. They have a pr team that makes their s***e look like spun gold…”
“However we have something that trumps that and its called THE TRUTH. You can fool people some of the time but eventually the truth outs. Look at the nastiness in his documentary.”
Earlier this week, Gordon revealed of his daughter’s new husband, “He calls me dad. He messaged me and said ‘Hey dad what have you got? Hey dad, are you around later?’
Talking on Gaby Roslin’s Reasons To Be Joyful podcast, he went on, “And it’s just like ‘Oh my God’. Incredible. And what a lovely couple. They are a dream for Tana and I. Adam is one of the most gorgeous disciplined young men you’ll ever hope to meet, and just so focused.”
The heartbreaking rift between Adam and his family first reared its ugly head last November, and deepened when his mother Caroline was reportedly not invited to Holly’s hen do at Soho Farmhouse – and whose invitees included family friend, Victoria Beckham.
Neither Holly nor Adam have publicly addressed the family feud – but Gordon claimed earlier this year that his family had done nothing wrong – and warmly welcomed the Peaty’s to the family.
Some fans online also expressed their anger at Gordon’s recent comment about Adam. One wrote, “Cruel and unnecessary, Gordon. I’ve always been a fan, but this sort of thing tarnishes your reputation.
Another, referencing his interview where he told Brooklyn Beckham not to ‘forget where he came from’, penned, “And yet he lectured Brooklyn….Hypocrite!”.
