Flavor Flav secured VIP treatment for his “She Got Game” weekend to celebrate all of the U.S. women olympians, taking place this summer in Las Vegas.
The rapper — a public advocate of women’s sports who supported the USA Bobsled/Skeleton team at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics — announced Thursday that he and MGM Resorts are teaming up to deliver hospitality, parties and a parade during the event, which runs through July 16-19.
“I wanna give a special shout out to MGM Resorts,,, many people offered to help the hockey team,,, but when I said I wanted to include ALL women who earned medals from the winter games + USABS [USA Bobsled/Skeleton],,, they didn’t hesitate and stepped up to be REAL partners with 100+ rooms,” Flavor Flav wrote in an X post Thursday night.
“They also offered food and hospitality, spa, ground, event space, after parties, and to host the parade and party for the PUBLIC to celebrate our women for FREE.”
Flavor Flav also started a GoFundMe donation page for the “She Got Game” weekend.
“Funds raised through this campaign will go directly to the invited female athletes and support the She Got Game weekend. Your generosity will ensure these athletes are properly celebrated in Las Vegas and receive meaningful financial support for their futures,” the donation page states.
Flavor Flav joined the USABS as its official team hype man last October.
Around the time of 2024 Paris Olympics, Flavor Flav also signed a sponsorship deal in support of the U.S. Water Polo Teams as the their official hype man.
The television personality shared his plans for the massive celebration after the social media discourse surrounding the now-viral phone call between the U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team and President Donald Trump after their 2-1 overtime victory over Canada in Sunday’s gold-medal game at the 2026 Games.
The men’s team laughed after Trump joked that he had to invite the the U.S. women’s hockey team to his State of the Union address after they won gold over the Canadians in Milan, or else “I believe I probably would be impeached.”
Twenty members of the men’s team attended Trump’s State of the Union address at the U.S. Capitol Tuesday, and also visited the White House.
During his speech, Trump said the women’s hockey team will “soon” visit the White House, despite the team declining his invitation for that night due to scheduling conflicts.
It’s unknown if the women’s hockey team accepted the invitation.
Players from both the women’s and men’s team have commented about the raging discussion.
Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman said the U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team shouldn’t have laughed along with Trump after he made the joke, saying, “We should’ve reacted differently.”
Women’s gold medallist Hilary Knight called it a “distasteful joke” joke by Trump during a Wednesday appearance on “SportsCenter.”
Jack Hughes — who scored the game-winning goal in overtime, breaking a 46-year gold medal drought for the U.S. in men’s hockey — repeatedly discussed the bond between the men’s and women’s teams during media interviews.
