Selections based on a heavy track.

Race 1

5. Inchyra is a solid performer that has only had four starts and has been placed in two of them. She resumes from a spell here and has won a trial at Canberra leading into this return to racing. A forward showing is on the cards. 7. Mover And Shaker failed to beat a runner home at Newcastle in August last year but should be ready to improve here. 1. Don Man is on debut after a couple of trials and bears close watching here. 4. Impending Charm is on debut after a couple of spaced trials and a bold showing wouldn’t surprise.

How to play it: Inchyra WIN.

Race 2

2. All Adore was a winner at this track just after Christmas and since ran midfield in a Highway at Wyong last month. Another bold showing is on the cards here with a repeat. 1. Iowna Benz ran second at Wagga when last produced and can show up again here with a repeat of that. 5. Christmas Star has a good record with a couple of wins and numerous placings and should be in the thick of things again if she’s at her best. 6. Girls Weekend followed a Moruya win with a last-start placing on the Beaumont track at Newcastle and is not out of this.

How to play it: All Adore WIN.

Race 3

12. Classic Touch has only had three starts but has been placed in two of them with both being at Goulburn. She wasn’t beaten far last time out and only needs to run up to that effort to be hard to hold out again. 13. Raining Violets ran well when placed at Queanbeyan when resuming and only needs to run up to that to be hard to hold out again. 9. Dunna Runna wasn’t too far away last time out and is not out of this while 2. C’mon Wicksy was down the track at Queanbeyan when last produced but can lift on that in this.

Race 4

3. Ol’ Mate Coop is having his second start for a new stable here. He’d finished second in a couple of runs at Coffs Harbour before a last-start sixth at Kembla Grange. 8. Gaelic Gem has been placed in three of four starts and only needs to run up to those efforts to be hard to hold out again. 10. North Star Miss was midfield on debut at Kembla Grange late last year and can run well here, while 1. Setta Icon can improve sharply on previous form.

How to play it: Ol’ Mate Coop WIN.

Race 5

4. Ischyros is a handy performer that had been placed at Goulburn and Nowra before starting big odds and finishing third at Rosehill behind Rose Aye when last produced. That looks to be strong form for this, and another bold showing wouldn’t surprise. 8. Jazz All Knight is a consistent performer that won at this track three starts ago and has since finished second in each of two runs here. 9. Miss Scoop has been out of the placings of late but can improve in this, 2. Tidal Rush won here in October and has since failed to fire at Canberra before a last-start third at Albury at massive odds. He can figure prominently in this with a run to suit.

How to play it: Ischyros WIN.

Race 6

1. Cossack Warrior was well in the market at Wagga when last produced and wasn’t far away at the finish when finishing second. He’s a consistent performer that only needs to run up to that effort to be hard to hold out again. 2. Brutal Eyes is lightly raced and boasts a good record with two wins and four placings from 10 starts. 4. Kitty Okay was a winner at Kembla Grange when resuming and wasn’t beaten far last time out. 16. Too Darn Sassy is a last-start Canberra placegetter that isn’t out of this if she can run up to her recent form.

How to play it: Cossack Warrior WIN.

Race 7

4. Everido settled back in the field before charging home late to get up and score a last-start win at Canterbury. Another bold showing wouldn’t be off the cards from the good barrier. 1. Canadian Ruler raced on the pace to score a last-start win and has been racing well of late. 15. Rose Aye went to the front and dominated to score a last-start win. She has the ability to go on with the job. 12. Cando Attitude has won four from four and only needs to overcome a bad draw to be hard to hold out.

How to play it: Everido EACH WAY.

Race 8

7. Sanzeno has only won two of 27 but he wasn’t far away at Goulburn when last produced. He’s drawn the inside gate here and should take plenty of holding out. 8. Colorado Sun had two placings from five starts and looks set to run well again in this. 1. Straight Fire is classy at best and ran well last time out at Wagga. 10. Incantata is a last-start Queanbeyan winner that warrants respect here.

How to play it: Sanzeno WIN.

Best Bets: Race 1 (5) Inchyra.
Race 3 (12) Classic Touch.

Best Value: Race 7 (4) Everido.
