Lily Allen has been branded a ‘hypcritical b****’ by Nicole Appleton’s friends, after she admitted to sleeping with the All Saints star’s former husband Liam Gallagher while they were married
Nicole Appleton‘s pals could clash with Lily Allen at the notoriously boozy Brit Awards tonight, after Lily boasted about hooking up with Oasis star Liam Gallagher while he was married to the All Saints singer. While Lily is celebrating the success of her ‘revenge’ album, West End Girl, which she wrote as ‘therapy’ following the betrayal of her husband David Harbour, Nicole’s pals ‘have not forgotten’ Lily’s confession of being the ‘other woman’.
Immortalised in her 2018 autobiography, My Thoughts Exactly, 40 year old Lily admitted to joining the Mile High Club with the Oasis frontman, while travelling to Japan for Fuji Rocks Festival in 2009, while he was wed to Nicole, now 51. But with the Pussy Palace singer set to appear at Manchester’s Co-Op Live arena tonight, Nicole’s loyal circle will also be in attendance.

Nicole herself will not be there, and neither will Liam, but her son Gene Gallagher, former brother-in-law Noel, niece Anais, and ex, Robbie Williams are slated to attend. However, in her corner, Lily does also have her own crew on hand to support her, including 1D star Harry Styles, DJ Mark Ronson and Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall.
An insider has claimed there is set to be a “brutal freeze-out” of the star. As reported by the Sun, they said: “She is marching around like the patron saint of betrayed wives, soaking up all the sympathy and making a fortune off this revenge album. But she happily slept with a married man and then wrote a book bragging about it.”
The source added that Nicole’s circle of friends include “some of the most influential executives and artists”. They said that Lily, who has “profited from infidelity”, will have a “rude awakening” when she is faced with a “freeze-out”.
In her book, My Thoughts Exactly, Lily revealed what happened between her and married man Liam Gallagher. She wrote: “We got hammered on the plane. At some point Liam and I found ourselves together in the toilet doing something that we shouldn’t have been doing, and it wasn’t drugs. Then we were in a lie-down bed together.
“When we landed in Tokyo, Liam said, in his distinctive nasal twang, ‘What you doing now? Why don’t you come back to our hotel…’ I was like, ‘Yeah, OK.'” Lily said she had no idea Liam was married to Nicole at the time. She said Liam told her “no one can hear about this” and that’s when she realised he was married. The singer admitted she’d always fancied Liam after growing up as an Oasis fan.
Years after the mile-high stunt, Lily has documented her own heartbreak on her new 14-track album, which she wrote after her Stranger Things star ex-husband David Harbour cheated on her multiple times over their four-year marriage. After trying an open marriage arrangement, Lily claims on her record that he breached the terms of their plan, and formed relationships with the women he was sleeping with.
The scathing lyrics in her album include accusing her ex-husband of being a sex addict. She revealed in a Vogue profile that her album was “inspired by what went on in the relationship,” and that while making the record she felt “confusion, sorrow, grief, helplessness”.
She did also admit that the tracks weren’t completely biographical, explaining: “There are things that are on the record that I experienced within my marriage. But that’s not to say that it’s all gospel.”
