Kelly Osbourne, who lost her beloved dad, Ozzy, last year was shamefully mocked at the Brit Awards last week, with several fans criticising her appearance
Kelly Osbourne has hit back at vile trolls who mocked her after the Brit Awards. The Osbournes star, 41, who heartbreakingly lost her dad last year, was at the ceremony in Manchester accepting a posthumous Lifetime Achievement award for Ozzy, who died in July after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Mum-of-one, Kelly, who accepted the award with her grieving mum, Sharon, received a barrage of abuse online on the weekend, with several fans criticising her appearance, saying she looked too thin. Kelly, who was callously told she looked like a “dead body” after her Grammys appearance last month, replied: “There is a special kind of cruelty in hurting someone who is clearly going through something.”

She has now spoken out again, this time sharing a post from Aerosmith star Steve Tyler’s daughter, Mia, who has publicly supported Kelly following the backlash.
Pointing out that while grief can change a person, it doesn’t make their body the subject of debate, Mia’s post read: “How hard is it to not be a d**k? ‘Public grief is not public property. Grief can change a person. That doesn’t make their body a topic for debate…
“Before you comment on someone’s body, consider the possibility that they’re carrying something heavier than your opinion… It takes real strength to stand in the public eye accepting accolades for their late iconic father and hold themselves together in front of the world…
“The least we can do is show the same grace in return. Kindness costs nothing. Cruelty costs character. It’s unsettling how quickly people will dissect someone’s appearance instead of honouring their courage.. ‘If you have the kind of energy to comment, you have the energy to be kind. Choose accordingly.”

Immediately after the Brits after no doubt seeing the slew of the vile comments written about her, which were all over social media, Kelly posted: “There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something.
“Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most…
“None of it proves strength, it only reveals a profound absence of character. I’m currently going through the hardest time of my life. I should not even have to defend myself. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanised in such a way.”
Last month, Kelly, who heartbreakingly referred to Ozzy as her “best friend”, called out the cruel keyboard warrior who said she looked like a dead body.
Sharing the unsavoury comment on her Instagram page after been plagued by rumours she’s been using fat jabs, Kelly responded: “Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings are! No one deserves this sort of abuse!”
Alongside her statement, she posted a collection of fans’ comments sticking up for the star and slamming the awful message. However, Kelly was understandably shaken by the vile slur, as she continued: “This too shall pass, but, like, holy f**k.”
