Loose Women star Kaye Adams was taken off air from her BBC radio programme back in October and won’t be returning to the radio show following misconduct claims

Loose Women star Kaye Adams says she wants to get her “life back on track” after losing her BBC radio job following an investigation into her behaviour. Kaye was taken off air from her morning radio programme Mornings With back in October.

On Friday it was reported that the 63-year-old was found culpable of inappropriate behaviour. Adams has denied any wrongdoing, arguing her “assertiveness” could have been mistaken for “bullying”.

But speaking about losing her BBC job for the first time on her How To Be 60 podcast, Adams said: “I mean, it’s been a brutal five months no doubt about it. I’m torn in that I don’t want anyone to think…I mean, who cares about my life anyway? I mean, it’s not that I’m expecting people to.

“But I mean, obviously, some people will be aware of what’s been going on in terms of me leaving the radio and stuff. And I’m torn between not wanting to appear to ignore things, but I just don’t see the point in saying much at this time.

“And this is a time to process things, try and get life back on track, try and get my mental health back on track, try and get my eating back on track, my sleeping back on track, you know, and just my life back on track.

“For the sake of Ian and the kids so that I’m going to just stick to that at the moment. And just, you know, gather myself.”

Adams entered a civil partnership with her long-term partner, tennis coach Ian Campbell, in early 2025 for tax reasons after being together since 1995. The couple share two daughters Charley, 23, and Bonnie 18.

She added: “I went to Edinburgh at the weekend to see the kids, my girls, and took Bee[dog]. We just had a lovely day because I mean I haven’t been as present for them as they’re used to, which has been a real sadness, and so you know it was just so lovely.

“We went for a walk with the dog and I just listened to them chattering away about all their stuff. That was really nice, just to be with them and they’re such amazing girls, you know, and they’re so supportive of me.”

Fighting back tears she added: “You’re the Mum, you’re the adult, it’s your job to look after them. as you know, I do everything I can to look after them, but I am just so proud of… I’m so thankful to them. They’re good girls.”

The BBC has not commented on the reason for Adams removal from the line up. But BBC Scotland said the presenter line-up would remain as it is for the moment.

A spokesperson said: “With regard to the presentation line-up on Mornings With, Kaye Adams will not be returning to this role. In the immediate future Connie McLaughlin will continue to present Mornings With on Mondays to Wednesdays, with Stephen Jardine presenting on Thursdays and Fridays.” Adams joined BBC Scotland in 2010 and is also a regular panellist on ITV ’s Loose Women.

She previously appeared on BBC One primetime show Strictly Come Dancing in 2022 and was a contestant on the third series of Celebrity MasterChef.
