The UCLA women’s basketball team‘s dancing shoes certainly look ready for a March Madness run.
Three members of the 28-1 squad — which projects to be a No. 1 seed when the NCAA Tournament kicks off later this month — made a surprise appearance with the Bruins’ dance team on Tuesday night, and they crushed a choreographed performance.
At halftime of the UCLA men’s basketball team’s tilt with Nebraska at Pauley Pavilion, guard Charlisse Leger-Walker, center Lauren Betts and guard Gabriela Jaquez joined forces with Spirit Squad members and wowed spectators with synchronized moves.
Donning matching skirts, jerseys and sneakers, the trio busted moves to Tate McRae’s “Just Keep Watching” for over a minute.
They hit all their marks repeatedly, and when they wrapped, the building erupted.
The three hoopers were then mobbed by dance team members, and moments later, some of their basketball teammates raced onto the court to celebrate the flawless show as well.
The performance appeared to provide a bit of a spark for Mick Cronin’s team, which went on to rout Nebraska, 72-52.
The Lady Bruins will have a bit to revel in their accomplishment before it’s time to get back to their day gigs — they’re not slated to play again until Friday at the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament in Indianapolis.
