Star kids often grow up observing style up close, but for Ibrahim Ali Khan, fashion has also been a lesson learned from watching his father, Saif Ali Khan. Known for his comfortable yet refined wardrobe, Saif’s personal style has long been admired by fans. Ibrahim, however, admitted that while he appreciates his father’s sartorial consistency, he did not quite inherit the same discipline when it comes to dressing up.
Reflecting on Saif’s signature aesthetic, Ibrahim once told us, “My dad is supremely classy. I don’t think I’ve gotten his fashion sense because he can constantly be classy. Sometimes, I feel lazy and wear slim jeans, or, I’ll wear baggy jeans. But he always makes sure to be well-dressed all the time.”
For Ibrahim, fashion is also closely tied to the visual nature of the entertainment industry. As someone stepping into the world of films and brand collaborations, he understands how crucial presentation can be. He added, “It is important because a part of what we show, whether it’s a brand, whether it’s an ad, whether it’s a movie… most of it depends on how you’re dressed. You can’t just do a bare minimum job when it comes to clothes. The visual appeal is extremely important.”
Like many young actors, Ibrahim also draws inspiration from global icons. He has often admired the style sense of Hollywood legends such as Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, especially the latter’s iconic look in Top Gun. “I loved Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise used to wear jackets that were not too slim and not too baggy. The Top Gun jacket was my favourite. Even the French fashion included in the ’90s was great,” he quipped. Closer home, Ibrahim believes few actors understand supreme styling like Ranbir Kapoor. “I would say it is Ranbir Kapoor. His clothes exude class,” he had shared.
