Frank Reich coached Carson Wentz to pass 38 times per game as a rookie and asked him to hand off to rushing champion Jonathan Taylor 20 times per game another season.
So, what will the Jets offense look like with Reich as the offensive coordinator?
“What makes good coaches great coaches in the NFL is not forcing a specific way of calling plays to every team,” Wentz told The Post. “Saying, ‘Where is our talent? Is it outside receivers? Slot receivers? Tight end? Offensive line and our ability to run the ball?’ In my three years working with Frank, he did a really good job of putting the team in the right position for their skill set.”
The Jets have two elite playmakers in versatile receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall, but there is the question of who will be distributing the ball.
