The Strictly Come Dancing star has made the decision to sell her old performance wear, including bras from her stage shows – and fans are in hysterics
A former Strictly Come Dancing contestant has begun flogging her old stage bras for just £20. The 67 year old performer faced an early exit from the beloved BBC show in 2024, departing during the second elimination round.
Her shock departure triggered outrage amongst devoted viewers at the time, with many convinced producers were deliberately “trying to get rid of her”. Yet the unexpected elimination hasn’t dampened Toyah Willcox’s spirits, as she’s now opted to sell off her old stage outfits – bras included.
In an Instagram post partnering with Lovelys Vintage, the entertainer displayed a collection of items up for grabs whilst discussing her amusing sales strategy.

She explained: “So for the past two years I’ve been touring, and those are the bras from the stage show. And I was going to throw them away but I thought to myself ‘well there’s going to be people out there who would want them, as sad as they look.'”.
The performer then jokingly added: “Not the people out there, the bras. They really have been beaten up by lots of tour washing,” whilst her assistant collapsed into laughter beside her. The Lovelys Vintage team member questioned again: “You want me to sell your bras?”. Toyah responded: “Either that or just throw them away and tell people which bin they’re in. Let people come and get them.”
The worn white bras form part of the collection Toyah has listed on Toyah’s Wardrobe. The range includes everything from old bras to dresses, boleros, bags and patent shoes.
The caption on the Instagram post by Lovelys Vintage excitedly announced: “Brace yourselves… too much fun! Even the guy filming couldn’t stop laughing! Swipe left as you can then see the hilarious outtakes. And yes I am selling her bras… this is what a long friendship is all about and we are lucky we have been able to combine business and pleasure with our @toyahofficial and @lovelysvintage collaborations. Join us tonight at 7pm where I [sold] the final pieces from her wardrobe (24.2.26).”
Whilst many of the star’s items have already been snapped up, marked by a green “sold out” sticker, some remain available. Toyah’s fans were in stitches in the comments section, with one posting: “Absolutely hilarious, so funny.”
Another revealed: “All three [bras] now sold!” A third chimed in: “Such a giggle.”
During her stint on Strictly, Toyah was paired with professional dancer Neil Jones. She specifically requested him after turning down two younger options, feeling it wouldn’t be appropriate for certain more intimate dances.
