TEHRAN – The President of the International University of Islamic Denominations have reacted to the supportive and empathetic statement of the International Islamic University of Indonesia towards the great nation and government of Iran.
Addressing the President of the university, Mohammad Hadi Fallahzadeh said: “This statement has once again proven that ‘Islamic University’ is not merely an administrative title, but rather a moral and civilizational commitment to defending justice, human dignity, the independence of nations, and supporting the oppressed,” IRNA quoted him as saying.
“Undoubtedly, attention to the suffering of nations, especially in the face of the aggression and hegemony clearly and openly directed against the awakening, great, and independent Islamic nation of Iran by the U.S. and the Zionist regime, is an inseparable part of the scientific and spiritual mission of Islamic universities,” he added.
In another part of this letter, which was presented to the President of the university by Yahya Jahangiri, the cultural attaché of Iran in Indonesia, Fallahzadeh added: “The recent statement from your important and prominent university contained a clear, responsible stance based on Islamic, human, and constitutional principles regarding regional and international developments, which indicates a special attention and commitment to achieving the enlightening mission of universities concerning issues of the Islamic community and the global community”.
Expressing deep gratitude for this informed stance, he stated: “I believe that in the current sensitive circumstances, scientific, human, and ethical convergence among the universities of the Islamic world can play an effective role in strengthening the unity of the Islamic community, articulating the discourse of peace, and countering double standards in international arenas. The Muslim people of Iran, especially the academic community of the country, will never forget your heartfelt empathy, and will record it in the historical memory of their scientific and brotherly relations, considering this sincere companionship a spiritual asset for deepening the connections between our nations.”
Fallahzadeh further noted in the letter that Islamic universities must always remain observant of the broader issues of the Islamic community and humanity, adding: “Islamic universities should speak with a responsible and wise perspective and uphold the values of freedom, justice, independence, and human dignity because silence in the face of injustice is incompatible with the scientific and divine mission of universities.”
“God willing, with the realization of the victory of the great Iranian nation over the oppressors in this struggle, soon there will be scientific, research, and educational collaborations between the two universities, and this constructive interaction will lay the groundwork for joint projects, faculty and student exchanges, and holding scientific meetings aimed at strengthening Islamic unity and regional solidarity,” he noted.
Fallahzadeh concluded the letter by wishing success for the great nation and government of Indonesia and expressing gratitude for the wise and empathetic stance of that university.
The U.S. and Israel attacked Iran last Saturday and have so far martyred over 1,000 people including the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several military commanders as well as civilians, among them women and children.
Iran and the U.S. had agreed to attend a fourth round of nuclear talks in Vienna next week, following their most serious discussions in Geneva last Thursday. However, the U.S. derailed diplomatic negotiations with Iran just like the previous time in June 2025, launching a bombing campaign against Iran in conjunction with Israel.
The attacks prompted a swift response from the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), with missile and drone launches targeting Israel and several U.S. bases in the region, occurring less than two hours after the strikes.
