Sara Arjun, who played the role of ‘Yalina’, a Pakistani wife in the film, Dhurandhar, is all set to reprise her role in the upcoming sequel. However, in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the audience will notice a drastic change in her character. They already got a glimpse of her character arc in the trailer of the sequel. In a particular scene, ‘Yalina’ was seen pointing a g*n. While the target she’s aiming at is kept under wraps, fans predict it might be ‘Hamza’, her husband. However, the unclear target has fueled intense speculation online.

Looking at the intense plotline, fans suggest that ‘Hamza’ might be forced to kill ‘Yalina’ to carry forward his secret mission. A fan wrote, “Will Hamza kill Yalina if she finds out his identity? It will be a sad moment.” Another user commented, “RIP Yalina. For Hamza, country comes first. So my Dhurandhar 2 theory is gonna come right.” Another user penned, “This scene from Dhurandhar 2 will be heartbreaking to watch… Jaskirat Singh Rangi vs Yalina.” A user penned on their X (formerly Twitter) handle, “Epic scene in the movie revealed in the Dhurandhar 2 trailer. Will Vicky Kaushal be part of the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge?

There has been a huge buzz surrounding Dhurandhar: The Revenge’s connection with the film, Uri: The Surgical Strike, starring Vicky Kaushal. Speculations were rife that Vicky would reprise his role as Major ‘Vihaan Shergill’. The rumours began after Dhurandhar‘s ‘Hamza’s’ secret identity got revealed. For the unversed, Ranveer Singh’s character was actually ‘Jaskirat Singh Rangi’. In the film, Uri: The Surgical Strike, Kirti Kulhari’s character, ‘Seerat Kaur’s’ husband’s name, who had been martyred, was also ‘Jaskirat Singh Rangi’. However, there are conflicting reports on Vicky’s cameo. Mid-Day quoted a source as saying:

“Aditya has been tight-lipped about the star power he is adding to Dhurandhar 2. The director, who plans to build the Dhurandhar universe, has smartly woven in a track from Uri despite the difference in the two stories’ timelines. Vicky’s character from the war drama, which is set in 2016, is introduced in this film, although it remains unclear whether he and Ranveer’s character cross paths. The cameo includes a few action blocks. Vicky is one of Aditya’s favourite actors. The director was only too happy to design sequences that laid the foundation for a spin-off in the future.”

Soon after this statement surfaced online, an insider dismissed it. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the source mentioned that Vicky Kaushal and Uri will not be part of the sequel. The insider added that the audience can treat these speculations as fan-generated rumours. The source was quoted as saying:

“Vicky Kaushal and Uri are not part of Dhurandhar. I don’t know where that comes from. We understand the curiosity and excitement for the second part. One can treat these as fan-generated rumours and speculation. But we can’t have the media reporting such outrageous assumptions as news.”
