Hello Bachhon Ending Explained, Why Does ‘Alakh Pandey’ Decide To Quit His Company, Physics Wallah?

Alakh Pandey has been one of the most popular teachers in recent years. For the unversed, a few years ago, he started teaching on YouTube and eventually founded his company, Physics Wallah. Today, he reportedly has a massive net worth of more than Rs. 4500 crore. Currently, he is enjoying the success of the series, Hello Bachhon. For the unversed, the series premiered on March 5, 2026, on the OTT giant, Netflix. Amid that, read on to know the ending of the series. 

The storyline of Hello Bachhon

The series, Hello Bachhon opens with ‘Alakh Pandey’ (played by Vineet Kumar Singh), a young physics teacher, who comes from a small town. He comes from a difficult background; however, he wishes to pursue his passion of teaching. Slowly and gradually, he realises that harsh reality behind the educational system. So, instead of teaching in classrooms, he starts recording physics topics and uploads them on YouTube for free. Soon, his videos go viral and thousands of students start relying on for their preparation of JEE and NEET. 

Eventually, he creates an online learning platform called Physics Wallah, which helps students prepare for tough exams. However, he soon starts facing issues when he is unable to find funds. Later, his friend, ‘Prateek Maheshwari’ (played by Vikram Kochhar) makes him understand that he needs to find investors to expand his business. Hesitantly, he agrees but refuses to compromise his principles. Despite multiple attempts, ‘Alakh‘ is unable to find a suitable investor as they disagree with ‘Alakh’s’ principles. Soon, rumours are being spread about him and his own teammates start leaving him. Finally, an investor, ‘Sameer Singhal’ agrees to help them and has no problem with the principles.

‘Alakh Pandey’ struggles in his personal life

While ‘Alakh Pandey’ finally starts to get back on track in his professional life, his personal life continues to struggle. ‘Alakh’ shares a rough relationship with his father, who believes that teaching is an unconventional career and often criticises him. However, later in the series, his father is proud of his success. On the other hand, the Netflix series also focuses on the personal life of students. One student, ‘Tripti’ dreams to become a doctor, however, her family doesn’t support her. Another student, ‘Lakshya’ is from a supportive family and moves to Kota to study. But, he is soon overwhelmed with the pressure and is unable to handle it.

As the series moves forward, ‘Alakh Pandey’ starts losing interest in teaching students because of the toxic competition. Ever since he decided to teach students at very low fees, he started facing threats from fellow coaching centers, especially by Trivedi Classes. Soon, he starts feeling demotivated and calls his sister, played by Girija Oak. He shares that his company to all set to open their first offline coaching and during the launch, he will resign from it. 

Towards the end of Hello Bachhon, ‘Alakh’ decides to make his last appearance at the launch of PW Gurukul. However, he fears that students might not come because of the toxic environment. But, to his surprise, the exact opposite happens as thousands of students gather at the launch. Soon, ‘Alakh‘ takes the center stage and begins his speech. Just when he is inspiring his students, police enter and start to disperse the students. While the event was a success, it is unclear if ‘Alakh’ left the company. His next move will most probably be revealed in season 2, if it happens.
