TEHRAN- Following the appointment of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran by the Assembly of Experts, various artistic institutions and cultural organizations have issued statements pledging their allegiance to the new leadership.

The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) was among the first to react. In a statement, the head and staff of the national broadcaster expressed that the news of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei’s appointment has brought a wave of joy, hope, and tranquility to the hearts of the Iranian nation and freedom-seekers worldwide. The IRIB reaffirmed its commitment to follow the new Leader as a national, revolutionary, and religious duty.

The Secretariat of the International Resistance Theater Festival issued a message, paying tribute to the martyr Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. The secretariat pledged to obey the new Leader until their last breath, viewing his guidance as a light to navigate the country through the conspiracies and deceits of the ill-wishers.

Furthermore, the Nehzat Media Arts Center, representing a large collective of graphic designers and artists, released a statement describing the appointment as a manifestation of divine victory. The center emphasized that the youth and vigor of the new Leader, combined with his piety and jurisprudential expertise, provide a new impetus for the “Front of Truth” against the “Front of Disbelief.”

In a collective statement, 80,000 Basiji artists declared their unwavering support for the new Leader.  While expressing profound grief over the martyrdom of the Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the artists noted that the appointment of his successor provides healing for their wounded hearts.

They vowed to act as soldiers of the cultural front, utilizing the medium of art to advance the goals of Islamic civilization and to seek revolutionary revenge for the late Leader’s martyrdom.

The Cultural and Artistic Organization of Tehran Municipality also joined the chorus of support. In its statement, the organization noted that the swift and decisive transition of leadership has sent a message of authority, unity, and continuity to the world, effectively neutralizing the psychological warfare of the nation’s enemies.

The Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults-Kanoon issued a statement condemning the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei at the hands of bloodthirsty U.S. and Zionist regimes. The institute emphasized that the enemy’s targeting of innocent children, particularly the schoolgirls of Minab, failed to shake the nation’s resolve. Kanoon pledged to the new Leader to redouble its efforts in training a brave and insightful generation.

The organizers of Ammar Popular Film Festival also stated that they remain the soldiers of the cultural front. They reaffirmed their readiness to obey the commands of the new Leader.

In a statement, the Owj Arts and Media Organization paid tribute to the late Martyr Imam, describing him as a leader from the “lineage of Salman and the school of Khomeini” who turned Iranian knowledge into global power. The organization noted that while the modern Pharaohs and the arrogant powers conspired to leave Iran leaderless, the divine light was completed through the Assembly of Experts’ decision.

The Art Bureau of the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization issued a statement addressed to the new Leader, characterizing the current geopolitical struggle against the U.S. and the Zionist regime as an “apocalyptic battle.” The bureau’s artists and thinkers expressed that while the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was a grieved sorrow, the swift appointment of his successor is a divine glad tiding. They declared themselves soldiers ready for martyrdom under his command, vowing to fight until the last drop of blood to soothe the wounded hearts of the believers.

Iran’s Assembly of Experts has chosen Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei to serve as the third Leader of the Islamic Revolution. He is the son of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Iran’s second Leader, who was assassinated by the U.S. and Israel on February 28.
