Peter Andre has announced his latest career move and is now set to star with Katie Price’s best friend in a new work project, confirming his truce with Katie. Peter has now announced he will be performing with X Factor winner Sam Bailey at Mamma Mia! The Party, just weeks after Katie and Peter agreed to never speak badly about each other in public again.
Katie, 47, and Sam, 48, have been friends for many years, having appeared on Loose Women together in 2017 and also singing together. Sam has publicly labelled Katie a ‘beautiful lady’ and an ‘amazing mum’ in the past.
Sam previously confessed to Closer magazine that she gets “upset” for her friend when she’s publicly criticised; however, she admitted they don’t see each other often. She claimed Katie faces “so much pressure” to be “perfect” and insisted she’s just a normal woman. Sam said: “She has this reputation of being a party girl, but I’ve seen the way she is with her children and she’s an amazing mum.”

Sam and Peter have now announced that they are going to be part of the cast of Mamma Mia! The Party at London’s O2 Arena. Peter will join the cast in the role of Nikos for a limited run of performances from 14 May until 23 July 2026, while singer and The X Factor winner Sam will step into the role of Debbie from 14 May 2026, joining the rest of the cast until 4 April 2027.
Peter, working with Katie’s friend, also follows Katie after she introduced Peter to her new husband, Lee Andrews. Until recently, Katie has been living it up in Dubai with her new husband, Lee, after a shock wedding just days after getting engaged in January.
Lee is Katie’s fourth marriage, after being first married to Peter from 2005-2009. She then tied the knot with Alex Reid from 2010 to 2012, before Kieran Hayler from 2013 to 2021.
Katie revealed that she and Peter met recently over FaceTime and shared that she was talking with their daughter, Princess Andre, when she came face to face with her ex-husband. She told The Sun: “Ironically, I was FaceTiming Princess the other day when she was with Pete, so she put me onto him,” Katie said. “It was the first time in nine years I’ve seen him.”
She added that she was having dinner with Lee when talking to Peter: “It was surreal – I was like ‘oh hello ex-husband, welcome to my new husband!’. They had a nice chat. I was like ‘what the f*** is going on here?!’”
Katie and Peter have had a rocky relationship since their split. The duo met as contestants on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in 2004, with their connection quickly turning romantic. However, since their bitter break-up, the pair have been locked in a war of words that has often played out on social media.
However, the two now seem to be putting that behind them. On 6 February, they jointly announced that they were closing the door on their toxic past, and vowed to never speak about each other again – or risk breaking a new legal contract in their first united post since their marriage breakdown.
Taking to Instagram, they both posted: “Katie Price and Peter Andre have decided to close the door on the past and move forward into a new chapter with positivity and respect. We are both focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for our children.
“We have reached a mutual agreement, both legally and personally confirming that neither of us will speak negatively about the other going forward. This decision reflects a shared commitment to our family and stability.”
The statement continued: “We want to stand united for our children. We are hoping this is a start of a positive relationship. We ask for understanding and support from both the media and the public as we move ahead.”
