Married at First Sight Australia fans instantly recognised newcomer Gia Fleur when she joined the hit experiment
E4 audiences are certain they’ve worked out where they’ve seen Married at First Sight bride Gia Fleur before.
The 35-year-old disability support worker entered the dating experiment on Monday (March 9) alongside 17 other hopeful singles.
Following the format of previous series, this edition tracks participants from across Australia who encounter each other for the first time at the altar, having been matched by experts Mel Schilling, Alessandra Rampolla and John Aiken.
The couples then assess their compatibility over several weeks, which inevitably results in considerable drama.
When newcomer Gia made her debut, fans immediately spotted she bears a striking resemblance to Series 11 MAFS bride Lauren Dunn, reports OK!.
On Reddit, one viewer questioned: “Just watching the 1st episode of MAFS AU here in the UK and couldn’t help but think that Gia looks like Lauren Dunn from season 11. Anyone else think the same?”
Fellow viewers swiftly concurred, with another responding: “Yes! I am so glad someone else has said this! I thought I was the only one.”
A third chimed in: “I had to double take cos I thought it was her.”
Meanwhile, fans on X, formerly Twitter, observed the identical likeness. “I’m convinced Gia and Lauren Dunn are the same person #MAFSAU #MAFSAustralia,” shared one.
Another viewer quipped: “I mean, are you REALLY saying this show is a genuine love experiment, and not a cloning project?”
The pair undeniably share several features and even sported precisely the same hairstyle on their wedding days.

Whilst Gia’s remarkable likeness to Lauren has captured audience interest, the newlywed has also become embroiled in controversy within just 48 hours of the social experiment beginning.
During the opening day, co-participant Bec Zacharia remarked that Gia’s “attitude stinks” mere moments following their introduction. This occurred as Gia joined Rachel Gilmore for a chat, during which Rachel shared her difficulties with intimate relationships.
However, whilst Rachel was revealing her vulnerabilities, Gia seemed disengaged and proceeded to inform the bride that no man has ever ended a relationship with her.
Despite her rocky start, the support worker has since opened up about experiencing bullying throughout her school years and the lasting impact it has left on her.
Married at First Sight Australia continues on E4 tonight at 7.30pm
