Jack Osbourne, who lost his rock star dad Ozzy in July last year, has become father for the fifth time — and fans have taken to social media to congratulate he and Aree
Jack Osbourne and his wife Aree have welcomed their daughter.
The couple have named the newborn after Jack’s late father Ozzy Osbourne, who died at the age of 76 in July last year. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the couple shared the happy news alongside a black and white photo of their baby.
The infant is seen pictured alongside a “Hello world” card confirming she was born on Thursday March 5. She has been named Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, a heartfelt nod to her rockstar grandfather who was known to millions as The Prince of Darkness.
Jack, 40, added on his Instagram Story: “She’s arrived and she’s perfect’ as friends and fans rushed to the comments to send their congratulations.” Fans have left the couple emotional messages on the social media platform.

Ozzy died just 17 days after he performed a finale concert with his band Black Sabbath in England, which saw Jack and the entire Osbourne family travel from Los Angeles to Birmingham. Jack and Aree then announced they were expecting their second child together in December shortly after Jack’s appearance on I’m a Celebrity.. .Get Me Out of Here!
Jack and Aree, who got married at the San Ysidro Ranch in California in September 2023, already have three-year-old daughter Maple. Jack has three other daughters from his marriage to first wife Lisa Stelly, a relationship which ended in 2019.
Speaking with The Sun, the media personality, born in London, opened up about preparing to become a dad for the fifth time. He said: “We’re super excited. It was sort of planned, I should say. It was maybe a little earlier than expected. But it’s definitely something that we were wanting to pursue and somehow it happened, miraculously.”
Jack became engaged to Aree, an interior designer, in December 2021. Gushing about her at the time, Jack, a podcaster, said: “Her step-mom skills make my heart so full.” The social media post was met by an influx of happy comments and well-wishes from fans and famous pals.
Jack credited Aree — and the pregnancy — for helping him grieve his dad’s passing. Speaking to The Sun, he said: “I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing — probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way. It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness.”
The newborn’s birth comes just days after Jack opened up about his father’s final weeks prior to his death. Appearing on an episode of the HATE TO BREAK IT TO YA podcast where he reflected on the final weeks of his father’s life, Jack shared a conversation he had with Ozzy the night after the Sabbath farewell show that left him with a devastating realisation.
