Premier League regular season final round without uncertainty

The finish of the race for spots at the Premier VRL League Final Four lacks suspense. The upcoming 14th round, which begins on Friday, will almost certainly not bring any changes in the standings.

All dilemmas regarding the clubs participating in the F4 and the final standings have been practically resolved after Novi Beograd did not appear in the 13th-round match against Sabac, thereby confirming its decision to leave the competition. The match was registered with a technical score of 5:0 in favor of Sabac, which climbed to fourth place, ahead of Novi Beograd.

Radnicki secured first place in the 12th round. Primorac is in second place. Jadran is currently third ahead of Sabac. Given that Jadran and Sabac are big favorites in their upcoming 14th-round matches, it is certain that all clubs will remain in their current positions.

The round opens on Friday with Jadran and Crvena Zvezda in Herceg Novi. The Montenegrin champion needs the points to keep third place ahead of Sabac, but also to regain confidence after a convincing defeat in the derby against Primorac, 12:20, which was preceded by elimination from the European Cup. The Red and Whites are hoping for a surprise that would return them to sixth place in the Premier League and therefore to fourth place in the Serbian Championship. However, their chances of getting points in Herceg Novi are really small.

On Saturday, Radnicki welcomes Partizan, and Buducnost will play against Sabac at home.

Partizan has played better and better, but considering the difference in experience and quality, it is clear which team is the big favorite.

The same applies to the match between the last-placed Buducnost and Sabac. The Podgorica-based team would like to say goodbye to their first season in the Premier League with a victory in front of their home crowd, which would be a wind at their back before the start of the Montenegrin Championship. However, it is unlikely that Sabac will allow them to do so. In the previous duel between these two teams, Buducnost suffered a not-so-painful away defeat (9:14), but then, already in the middle of the last period, Sabac had a nine-goal advantage.

The match between Novi Beograd and Primorac is scheduled for March 18. This is because Primorac will play the second leg of the round of 16 of the Euro Cup against Jug in Zagreb on Saturday. Even if that game takes place, it could only influence the composition of the Final Four participants if Jadran or Sabac unexpectedly earn no points this weekend.
