Former Disney Channel star Madison Pettis said she broke up with Nets forward Michael Porter Jr. “because he was a psychopath.”

During an appearance on the “In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele” podcast last week, Pettis explained her nighttime routine and what she does to unwind, and brought up her ex.

“I’ll have a glass of wine and I’ll probably watch a basketball game,” Pettis, 27, said. “I’m really into sports… that helps me unwind a little bit.

“I’m a Warriors fan, but I have NBA League Pass on DirecTV… so I watch a lot of basketball. I know a lot of stuff,” she said before Thiele asked her if she would consider being “a basketball wife.”

“Um, yeah,” Pettis said. “I mean, my ex is now in the NBA. When we dated, he was in high school and college. I broke up with him before he was in the league because he was a psychopath.

“I do think a lot of athletes are not great partners, but I wouldn’t rule it out because I do love what they do. I would have respect for them and love to talk to them about their passion.”

She did not elaborate further.

Pettis, who did not name her ex, dated Porter from 2016 through mid-2017 — before the Denver Nuggets selected him with the No. 14 overall pick in the in 2018 NBA draft.

The pair attended the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards in Los Angeles together.

Porter, who won a championship with Denver in 2023, was traded to the Nets last June.

Two months after that, Porter made waves with his remarks about relationships and women.

During an appearance on the “One Night with Steiny” podcast last August, Porter explained that he would “test” women to see if they’ve been with anyone he knows by having them watch Andrew Tate — a controversial internet personality and former professional kickboxer.

“I need to see a little bit about their beliefs. So I’m not saying I’m a misogynist or anything, but I’ll throw on some Andrew Tate and see how they react … I’ll bring up conversations and play devil’s advocate just to see how this girl thinks about certain things,” Porter said.

He has not yet addressed Pettis’ comments.
