Fans can expect some fireworks on Saturday at the Players Championship, where PGA Tour stars will be jostling to get into position for a victory worth $4.5 million.

Leading the way is two-time Tour winner Ludvig Aberg. Aberg came one short of the TPC Sawgrass course record in Round 2, settling for a 63 that vaulted him into the lead at 12 under.

Two-time majaor winner Xander Schauffele is his closest pursuer. Schauffele fired a 65 on Friday to get within two shots of Aberg.

Plenty of other stars are in the mix heading into the weekend, including Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Brooks Koepka.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and defending champion Rory McIlroy narrowly made the cut and will both tee off early on Saturday.
