Timothee Chalamet rocked up at the Oscars with girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, last night where he was hoping to be crowned Best Actor for his film, Marty Supreme

Timothee Chalamet could not keep his hands off Kylie Jenner after his crushing Oscars loss. The Marty Supreme star, 30, was nominated for Best Actor for the ping-pong flick, but lost out to Sinners star, Michael B. Jordan in a category full of A-listers.

Timothee rocked up on the Oscars red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday with Kylie and was later seen packing on the PDA with the mum-of-two, 26, at the boozy Vanity Fair afterparty in which the Dune star let his hair down.

Seen kissing the Lip Kit queen on the cheek as they posed for snaps outside the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the actor wrapped his hand around Kylie’s waist before they made their way inside the star-studded bash.

Sporting a white linen suit and manicured moustache, Timothee had a smile a mile wide as he and Kylie, sporting a black cut-out frock with elegant feather trim, put the actor’s Oscars snub behind them.

However, the American-French star, who paid tribute to his girlfriend following his Golden Globes win last month, looked visibly disappointed when 2025 Best Actor winner Adrien Brody read out Michael’s name for the 2026 award instead of his.

Applauding politely, Timothee appeared to mouth ‘yay’ as the stunned Sinners star hugged his proud mum, Donna, before heading to the stage.

This year’s Best Actor category was packed with big hitters. It also included Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon) and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).

While Timothee was supposed to be a shoo-in at the Oscars after dominating the early season with Best Actor wins at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards for Marty Supreme, the tide turned when Michael won at the Actor Awards earlier this month.

It came after Timothee’s controversial comments about ‘no one’ caring about opera and ballet, which angered the creative community, including director Steven Spielberg. The actor made the eyebrow-raising remark while talking to Interstellar co-star Matthew McConaughey about the future of film.

Dissing ballet and opera, he said: “I don’t want to be working in ballet or opera or, you know, things where it’s like: ‘Hey, keep this thing alive,’ even though no one cares about this anymore,’ in an interview for Variety’s Actors on Actors.

Following the backlash, Oscars host Conan O’Brien referenced Timothee’s remark. Addressing the star-studded crowd, including the actor and Kylie, doing her best Jessica Rabbit impression in a skin-tight red sequinned dress, he teased: “Security is extremely tight tonight. I’m just going to mention that. I’m told there’s a concern about attacks from both the opera and ballet communities.”
