Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz ensured all eyes were on them as they rocked up to Sir Elton John’s famous Oscars viewing party after snubbing Mother’s Day
Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz brushed off his decision to snub mum Victoria on Mother’s Day. The eldest son of Lady Victoria and Sir David has been estranged from them in recent years, and even after his lengthy social media outburst, it seems there’ll be no rebuilding bridges for the family.
As the United Kingdom celebrated Mother’s Day, Brooklyn’s younger siblings all gushed over their Spice Girls mum on social media. But after sending a legal letter instructing his parents not to contact him on platforms such as Instagram, Brooklyn remained quiet.
Instead, he and his wife Nicola headed to an Oscars viewing party, hosted by Sir Elton John, who has been an extremely close friend of the Beckham family for decades. The wannabe chef, 27, was one of many famous faces at the annual event, which raises money for Elton’s AIDS foundation.

Brooklyn looked dapper in a fitted black suit, paired with a white shirt, leaving the top buttons undone. Meanwhile, wife Nicola wore a figure-hugging black gown as the pair put on a cosy display while walking the famous red carpet.
They were joined on the night by the likes of Sharon and Jack Osbourne, Yungblud, Lola Young, singer Dua Lipa, and her fiancée, actor Callum Turner. Over the weekend, Brooklyn delivered his latest blow to his estranged parents.
While he opted not to acknowledge his mum on Mother’s Day, he did, in fact, acknowledge his mother-in-law on Saturday. The former photographer celebrated Claudia Heffner Peltz’s 71st birthday and gushed over her on social media.
He shared snaps of himself alongside Claudia and Nicola, hours before the UK welcomed Mother’s Day. Captioning his post, Brooklyn said: “Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law. Love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.”
However, Claudia actually celebrated her birthday on Thursday, March 12. Nicola also paid tribute to her mother, writing: “Happy Birthday to my mom! The pure fact that i get to call you mom makes me truly, the luckiest ever.
“I’m so happy I got to spend your special day with you. I love celebrating you – your light is so bright you make everything better in this world. I love you more than you will ever understand. i hope all your dreams and wishes come true.” It was previously reported that Sir Elton had been playing the peacemaker in Brooklyn’s fallout with his family.
The legendary singer was last year seen hosting Brooklyn and Nicola for lunch at the swanky La Guerite beach club in Cannes. “Elton is the showbiz equivalent of Switzerland,” a source said at the time in relation to Elton’s peace-keeping attempts. “He’s utterly neutral in this row.”
Despite once being known for his argumentative side, Sir Elton now lives a much calmer life. A source added: “Elton of old may have relished in taking sides – in this case, his young godson, Brooklyn, but two years off his 80th birthday, he’s a man who has seen and done it all. He just wants everyone to be happy.”
