Aysegul Eraslan Dies At 27, Fashion Influencer Posted On Family ‘Violence’ Hours Before Death

Turkish fashion influencer and designer, Aysegul Eraslan was found dead in her Istanbul home on Friday, March 13, 2026. She amassed a large fan following through her participation in the reality show, Iste Benim Stilim and from her fashion content creation. Aysegul’s sudden and unexpected demise at the age of 27 left her family, friends and fans heartbroken. It sparked an ongoing police investigation, who are actively looking into the case. Amid that, here’s what we know about the circumstances leading to her demise and her mental state hours before the tragic happening.

How did Aysegul Eraslan die? Who found her body?

Aysegul Eraslan’s relatives went to her home after being unable to reach her by phone. When no one answered the door, they informed the police, who entered the duplex apartment in the Kagithane district and found her lifeless. Authorities found a note at the scene, which reportedly had blood on it. Forensic teams assessed the incident and suspected s**cide. According to them, Aysegul might have cut her left wrist before hanging herself with a belt from a staircase. Notably, the assessment is based on initial findings, and an investigation to determine the cause of death remains active. Her death case is currently being treated as a suspicious death as authorities are looking into several points of interest.

Security footage reportedly showed actor, Sunay Kurtulus entering Aysegul’s apartment shortly before the discovery of her body. He was questioned by authorities and released after stating the visit was brief and that the deceased was alive when they left. Notably, his visit came about an hour before her estimated time of death. Due to probably being the last person to see Aysegul Eraslan before her death, Sunay was questioned by the police as a witness. He told them that he left after a brief argument with her. The circumstances surrounding the influencer’s passing led many to speculate foul play. Following that, Istanbul police detained two individuals for spreading “misleading information” about the case.

Aysegul Eraslan’s last posts on social media were a series of distressing and cryptic messages shared shortly before she was found dead in her Istanbul apartment on March 13, 2026. They included Instagram stories featuring a bloodied note, alleging a lifetime of domestic violence and a lack of parental love. The posts also included Aysegul’s claim that she is a good person, saying she has never wronged anyone. Her final plea for her followers before her demise was to care for her dogs. Aysegul’s exact words were:

“There are things I could not share with you, things you didn’t know, things I never told you. The only thing I know is that I was a very good person. I never wronged anyone…I have never known the love of a mother or a father and…raised with a great deal of violence.”
