In the podcast, Kristin revealed that she has been seeking opportunities but hasn’t found any. Kristin also shared that she resigned from her position as she felt staying in the company would put ‘everybody in a bad position’. Kristin also highlighted how important it is for her to find work because she has kids to manage. Speaking about the same, she said:
“I have so much gas left in the tank. I’m dying to get back to work. I’m raising my kids alone. I’m financially responsible for my kids alone, and I need to get back to work.”

After Kristin Cabot resigned from her position, Andy Byron also resigned from Astronomer and took a no-public-statement stance. In the podcast, Kristin revealed that Andy might not be facing the same obstacles she has, as he has been receiving many opportunities. Revealing how she is expected to come out and explain her stance, whereas Andy doesn’t have to face the same ordeal, Kristin shared:
“I think he has the luxury of staying silent, and he can go back to work when he’s ready. I don’t. In order for me to get back on my feet, I have to come out and explain. And I think that’s a stark difference between the man and the woman in this situation.”
