Radnicki achieved the only away win of the day, defeating Primorac in Kotor, 14:10.

BVSC triumphed over Oradea 14:8

Marseille earned a 5-goal victory against Sabadell, 17:12. This win was especially sweet for Marseille, as it avenged two earlier defeats in the Champions League this season. But the French will take revenge only if they advance to the semifinals.

Radnicki was slowly building the lead. After five and a half minutes of play, Primorac had a 2:1 advantage. Radnicki found its rhythm late into the first period, scored four straight goals and by the middle of the second quarter earned a 5:2 lead. Primorac was without a goal for almost seven minutes, until Inaba converted a penalty shot for 3:5. Shortly before that goal, Radnicki’s goalkeeper Filipovic saved a penalty from Mrsic. In the rest of the first half, each side netted a goal apiece, and Filipovic saved another penalty, preventing Primorac from cutting the deficit to one goal eight seconds before the middle break.

At halftime, the Serbs were 6:4 up. In the third period, Primorac came very close to the visitors and reduced the gap to one goal four times (5:6, 6:7, 7:8, 8:9). However, at the finish of this quarter, Radnicki restored a three-goal lead thanks to Angelos Vlachopoulos and Dusko Pijetlovic (11:8). It was Vlachopoulos who increased the visitors’ lead to four, scoring with an extra player to make it 13:9 with three minutes remaining. Cetkovic made it 10:13, and Dusko Pijetlovic set the final score 16 seconds before the end.

BVSC – Oradea 14:8 (2:3, 5:1, 1:1, 6:3)

Oradea started bravely and dictated the pace in the early stages of the game. However, in the second period, BVSC took control and started breaking its opponent.

Oradea established a 3:1 lead in the first six minutes. The visitors’ goalkeeper, Lazar Dobozanov, boosted his team’s self-confidence by saving two penalty shots in the first quarter. However, after Oradea’s third goal, BVSC produced a 4:0 run and turned around a 1:3 deficit to a 5:3 lead. Gardasevic ended Oradea’s 8-minute goalless phase, making it 4:5. However, the Hungarians responded with two goals by the end of the first half for a solid 7:4 lead.

Oradea’s Negrean opened the second half by converting a man-up (5:7). BVSC’s attack slowed down after the middle break, but the defense didn’t let Oradea come back. Tibor Benedek’s son, Mor, scored the first goal for BVSC in the second half, only in the 23rd minute (8:5). The hosts regained their momentum. Early in the third period, they added three goals, going to 11:5. They maintained the lead until the end.

There were several turns in the opening ten minutes. Sabadell went ahead three times in that interval, Marseille only once (2:1). But after Perez gave Sabadell a 4:3 lead, the hosts managed to impose their rhythm. They tightened their defense, and the attack was better and better. They went on a 4:0 run and, midway through the second period, established a 7:4 lead. Sabadell narrowed the distance with two quick goals (6:7). Still, Marseille rebuilt a 3-goal lead in the third quarter (9:6, 10:7, 11:8).
