Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg have welcomed a baby boy and shared his sweet name. The Strictly Come Dancing professional and her YouTuber partner – who she met on the BBC show – took to social media to share their exciting news.
Revealing the arrival of son, the pair said they have “never felt love like it”. The joint message read: “Never felt a love like it [blue heart emoji]. Baby Bowden Mark Richard Sugg. 16/03/26”
The name gives a sweet nod to Dianne’s father as the tot’s middle name is her dad’s name. And Joe’s late grandfather Richard, who died in 2021, also gets a tribute as a middle name.

According to baby name website, The Bump, Bowden means “shelter”. It can also stand for the “one who brings It’s said to symbolise security, new beginnings, and ambition.
The couple met on the 2018 series of Strictly. They were partnered together for the dance contest and the public watched on as their partnership blossomed.

In a cute announcement when the show finished, Joe explained that while he had not won the Glitterball, he had won something much better. He then went on to confirm their romance.
Since then, the duo have continued to go from strength to strength. They always expressed their desire to have children together. And they got their wish when they announced in September 2025 that they were expecting a baby.
In an adorable video posted on social media, the pair painted a picture of three stick figures to make their pregnancy announcement public.
Dianne previously opened up about motherhood and explained her job was “demanding”. However, she said whenit came to kids she’d be happy to take a career break.
She said: “It is quite tough because my job is quite demanding, and I love it so much. It is a tough one to balance out and think about.
“It would take a lot of thought, but eventually one day we will get there, but there is lots happening at the moment. It will happen when it’s supposed to.”
She went on to add: “We’ve always wanted kids, it’s just finding the right time. I don’t feel worried about taking time out from dancing, I just don’t see the point in worrying.
“When everything aligns, it will happen. I have to have that vision. I like to practise manifestation, I’m quite spiritual.” Just weeks after that interview, the couple announced their happy news.”
