The six nations said they “condemn in the strongest terms” Iran’s attacks on unarmed vessels in the Gulf, as well as strikes on civilian infrastructure such as oil and gas facilities, and called on Tehran to halt all such actions in the region and around the Strait of Hormuz.

The statement also denounced the laying of naval mines and attacks on commercial shipping in the strait, while expressing readiness to contribute to efforts aimed at ensuring safe navigation through the vital waterway.

Amid rising crude oil prices, the countries further pledged to take measures to help stabilize global energy markets.
