Mini drivers are trending on Tour, with a number of big names adding one to the bag, including Tommy Fleetwood and Adam Scott. Why? The mini driver is a versatile weapon, with a loft that lands between that of a typical driver and a 3-wood, making the club suitable for use off the tee when accuracy is at a premium.
Mini drivers have smaller heads and shorter shafts than standard drivers, making them easier to control and more forgiving too.

Titleist introduced their mini driver, the GT280, last April, three months after the club made its Tour debut with Titleist staffers. The club can act as a replacement for a player’s highest-lofted fairway wood, or simply as a “15th club” that can be brought into the fold when course setups require its use.
The GT280 is designed to be hit off the turf as well as off the tee, thanks to softened sole curvature and a decision to drop the club’s leading edge closer to the ground. A forged “L-Cup” uses an insert that wraps around the bottom of the face to help to eliminate excessive spin and retain ball speed on low strikes.
Now, you can add this innovative club to your bag — for less! Titleist’s GT280 is currently on sale for $100 off its regular retail price. Check it out in detail by clicking the link below, and let Fairway Jockey customize your mini driver now!
