Love Island star Zara McDermott has been seeing former One Direction singer Louis since last year, after she swiftly moved on from ex boyfriend, Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson
Zara McDermott has played the proud girlfriend, gushing over boyfriend Louis Tomlinson’s new album and claiming she plays it “on repeat”. The former Love Islander started seeing ex One Direction singer Louis last year, weeks after she split from ex partner, Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson, and moved out of his London home.
The 29-year-old has been reportedly living with Louis since August last year, after spending time living with her parents following her split with Sam. Louis, whose net worth is estimated to be around £45million ($60million), released How Did I Get Here? in January – his first album in four years.
Sharing a photo of her listening to a demo version of his track The Spark, Zara wrote: “Boyfriend on repeat.” She previously shared a tribute to her boyfriend of a year after his album shot straight to the top of the UK charts.

Zara reposted Louis’ celebration as he posed with his award, with Zara writing: “NUMBER 1!!!!!!!!!!! Proud is an understatement. She added: “You deserve this my love. The kindest, most loving human being on this earth.”
Louis credited Zara as being the inspiration behind his chart-topping album last October. Speaking to Steven Bartlett on his Diary Of A CEO podcast, Louis said: “I’m a deeply, deeply romantic person.
“For me, I have to have been living it – it has to be literal, it has to be real to me. So, if I wasn’t feeling so good, like right now, I wasn’t feeling so in love, the record probably would have a slightly different feel to it.”
Louis whisked Zara away to the Caribbean following their first Christmas together. Sources have suggested a proposal could be imminent, with smitten Louis potentially prepping to get down on one knee.
A source told new recently: “You’ve never seen a couple so in love with each other. They’re so blissfully in love, and I think we could be hearing wedding bells soon.”
While things are going well for Zara in her new relationship, her ex, Sam, revealed this week how he has been left with a huge financial burden since their split. After Zara moved out, Sam was left with her initials carved into all the wooden drawers and bronze handles in their home, after she had the idea while they were together.
In a bid to remove all trace of her, he chose to have his kitchen remodelled for a second time. Speaking to Pete Wicks on his Staying Relevant podcast, Sam revealed: “The builders are coming back.”
Giving some context, Pete added: “Sam has been renovating his house for five years and it looks lovely but I don’t know what it is but your builders are moving in. Your kitchen has been done twice in like two years.”
Sam explained: “I had to redo the kitchen, you know I had to. It was a lovely kitchen at the start but I had a relationship finish and I had names carved into the wood. It wasn’t my idea, it wasn’t!
“Basically, they were also on the drawers, so I had to change the kitchen. It wasn’t my idea I want to stress that, but they chiselled our initials in so I couldn’t like cover it up. But yeah I have to change my kitchen again.”
Sam and Zara first got to gether in May 2019, before it was revealed that she had cheated on him while she was working on The X Factor: Celebrity. They split briefly, with Zara ending up desperately grovelling on an episode of Made In Chelsea, begging for Sam to take her back. He refused at first, but they reunited and gave things another go.
