The second part of the Croatian League regular season has started with the 12th round.
The clubs are now split into two groups (1st–6th place and 7th–11th place). The points from the first stage have been carried to the second one.
The big game of the 12th round was a derby in Zagreb, where Mladost hosted Primorje. At halftime, the rivals were tied at 9:9. Mladost started building a big lead after the middle break. Eight minutes before the end, the Zagreb-based side led 15:11. During the fourth quarter, the hosts increased the margin to six – 21:15.
Primorje ended the match with only six players available. There were a staggering 50 exclusions throughout the game, with Mladost committing 17 personal fouls and Primorje committing 33. Five players from the visiting team were out of the match before the second half due to three exclusions each. In the third and fourth periods, three additional Primorje players were sent off for accumulating three fouls.
The best scorers were Konstantin Kharkov and Josip Vrlic, who each netted four goals for Mladost. Franko Lazic and Matijas Biljaka added three. Brubnjak, Snel, and Crippa scored three each for Primorje.
Marko Zuvela scored four goals, leading Jug to a 17:9 victory over Medvescak.
